If you are not an average to above average golfer this is not the course for you. There's water on every hole, most of the greens were in horrible shape, the rough was high and lots of lost balls ! Not the enjoyment I was looking for but see it for yourself.. Even the locals and members were shocked by the course conditions
No!....Just no!!
Got to play this " Resort Style" course on a Hot Deal. Resort style?? Thats like putting a dress on a pig and calling it miss America.
Absolutely horrible condition. The greens were just atrocious! Over watered and beat to you know what. Unrepaired pitch marks made them look like a mine field. Bald spots everywhere. So bad you had to move the ball to get some sort of a putting line. I do spin the ball quite a bit and the ball was digging into the green halfway up. Fairways were firm and fast. If you're a straight hitter, your good. Have a tendency to spray the ball on occasion like me, fughetaboutit....Ball in the water. Oh, there is water EVERYWHERE! The layout is just, well, completely confusing. Play 1-4 then where is 5? Oh, they didn't change the sign and the 15th on the front 9 is really the 5th. HUH??? Couldn't find 6-8th holes. Just played a few more holes and left. If I was able to get a refund I would certainly do it. Have someone you hate? Recommend this course. Otherwise avoid it like the plague.
The only redeeming thing were the 2 young ladies in the pro shop. they were very courteous and helpful.
Review
The course is challenging, short and tight which really tests your skills. The course could be better but it needs some work. The greens are beat up from weeds growing in a good majority and players not fixing their divots. The water needs to have the fountains/filters fixed and activated for a better look aesthetically. The clubhouse and pool are in great shape and the food looks good as well. Driving range needs some help as well.
Water and greens
Greens were very bumpy. Most putts had to navigate canyons o pitch marks and scorched grass. Not the best for a 65$ round.
Played a number of times
For the most part, the course was in good condition, especially considering the amount of rain we've had. This was my 5th time playing this course, and I've played from the whites, yellows, and greens, just to mix it up. I'm nearly 81 years old and am finding that the shorter tees make the round more enjoyable. For those who haven't played this course, there is water in play on almost every hole.
A couple of improvements that I would suggest. First, not all the tee boxes had been mowed recently making it feel like you were teeing in tall grass. Second, the course has been cart path only the last two weeks due to the wetness. There are no ball washers on the course or on the carts, and they are needed. The last thing is pretty minor, but a beverage cart on the course would be helpful.
Tee time cancelled when I arrived
This tee time was cancelled when I arrived. No notice from the course or GolfNow. The course said GolfNow should have contacted me. Now I cannot even contact GolfNow. I paid in advance and heard nothing about a refund.
Amazed
With all the storms and flooding here in Arkansas, I wasn't expecting much when arrived to play. However, despite some flooding and being closed for 4 days as a result, the course was in wonderful condition. The fairways were great and the greens very fast. Be prepared for water as nearly every hole has water in play.
Very challenging, but very fun.
This is the perfect course to play if you need to learn how to handle water being apart of the game. All Par 3s are over water, most 4s have water on the edges. Beware of the Goose on hole 13 to the right near the water!
Great course! Below average service.
I played the 9AM tee time on Monday 3/24/2025…I had great service from the gentleman who checked me in at the clubhouse at the start. I enjoyed my first 18; had an amazing time with the course!!! Very challenging course overall. Great layout!! The problem I ran into was once I came back in for my second round(not paid for in advance….thats important) the young lady behind the desk did not have a great attitude about helping me out at all. She had little to no customer service. I asked to pay for another round since I completed my first round. She proceeded to ring me up for a full tee time and cart fees again!! I ended up paying $FULL PRICE$ for my second round of the day!! When you pay for the greens fee, it’s for the full day. So you’re only supposed to be charged for the cart fee which is usually $15-$20 to go play another round. Instead she charged me the full price!!! I’m definitely coming back to talk with the owner of the shop but will I play here again?? It depends on how they change their customer service…older white gentleman was great!! Younger white lady?? Early 20’s?? Not so great.
My speaker
Would be a 5 but really it was clipped to the handle and it’s nowhere to be come on be better
Play
Great time and along with staff hospitality, we met others on the course who were just as hospitable. Great course to play! We'll be back.
Winter Review
Course was in good shape for the amount of rain that the course had on it for the week.
