Portugal's best course already?
Playing Dunas during preview play before its official grand opening in October was the highlight of a weeklong golf tour around Portugal in June.
I'm told it's unlike anything else in continental Europe. The fescue fairways are still maturing and hope to someday play firm and fast like other famous fescue courses (Bandon Dunes, etc.). DMK sculpted gorgeous bunkering throughout. Rolling elevations through the pines give it a "Pinehurst" feel. When this place gets more infrastructure - a clubhouse, hotel, etc. - it will be special.
