The Blue Course is one of four public courses offered at the Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills. Located in the city of Westminster, the Blue Course is a nine-hole, par-37 course that offers over 3,200 yards of golf. The nine holes of the course originally served as the front nine for another course on the premises, the Gold Course. Now, it stands alone as a regulation length nine-hole course and the Gold Course is a separate 18-hole course at the facility. Hyland Hills offers picturesque mountain views as well as finely manicured courses. Golf Digest even rated Hyland Hills' courses as part of Colorado's top 20 golf courses.

Our game was fine but there was a couple with 2 young kids playing ahead of us and they were S-L-O-W. A course marshall should have come by to tell them to speed up. I understand it's important to let kids play so they get the hang of the game but it was ridiculous the number of groups stacked up behind them. And parents should have been more "pace of play" aware. Even as an experienced player, I will pick up my ball and move on if I'm having a challenging hole.
Great place!
All around solid course, probably more water hazards than average, but a surprising oasis nestled into surrounding neighborhoods. Well maintained and efficient , and great views. Only complaint I had was the bugs, but that’s normal this time of year
Decent Course -- good way to get a few strokes in
Decided to play the Blue course after playing the Golf Course last week and only wanting to play nine.
Course is a pretty easy set up. Only a few challenging holes (6, 8, 9) Greens ran pretty slow but true. Course could use a bit more water, but in good condition nonetheless. GREAT value for $25 with a push cart (veteran's discount).
Only real grief about the course was pace of play. Our 11:30 AM tee time went off 10 minutes late and we frequently had to wait to tee off, up to 10 minutes on one hole. That said, it's probably to be expected when playing on a short muni.
All in all I'll be back, at least during the week. Can imagine that weekends would be a 3+ hour slog.
People hitting second balls many times when there are people behind waiting shouldn't be happening
Great Golfing Day
I love this course, the fairways and greens are well maintained. Even off the fairway the grass was cut well enought that we could find an errant ball.
Great coarse but greens need some work
Ever since they aerated their greens this year they haven’t rolled right. While other coarse in the area either aerated before or early their are much better. This wasn’t the same in years past… I don’t know what happened this year.
Need some water and a lawn mower
I play here often and year around, but aeration was back in April and the course should have healed by now. They need to start watering and mowing and rolling the greens.
