At this excellent par-4, the third fairway curves around a large pond, a threat to both drive and approach shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

The fifth is a long par-4 that plays downhill from a high tee, then on towards this sprawling green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

Seven, a long par-3, is easily one of the course’s hardest holes–partly because it is so well protected by greenside bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

Looking downhill over the long par-5 eighth, which may provide a birdie opportunity if you strike it well from tee to green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

Short but testing, the par-4 third curves gently around a pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/17/2021

Ten: This par-4 is a terrific ‘target’ styled hole that culminates on a plateau green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/17/2021

Fourteen: Par-5, 480. An outstanding risk-reward proposition whose green can be hit in two. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/17/2021

The last pic I took today was of one of LV’s avid regular players, here putting out at the first. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/17/2021

One. 354-yard par four. The 13-index opens things up somewhat gently, yet the green is well-bunkered. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Three, par-4, 423. The hole plays downhill but to a tight landing zone guarded by the pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

The 492-yard, par-5 fifth is tempting for big hitters. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Seven, par-3, 249. It’s easy to see why this is the toughest three-par on the golf course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Eighth. This long 5-par (579) is open enough for swinging away from the tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Sixteen will require your best drive to this tight, dog-legging fairway. The second shot is no picnic, either. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Everything was great until....
We got to the turn and discovered they let groups off the back who we, as 18 hole ticket holders, had to wait behind. Completely unacceptable. Other than that, the course is mostly in great shape. Greens and tee boxes are excellent. Fairways sitting up nicely, rough was not overwhelming. If they can overcome their greed and not send groups off the back while I make the turn, I wpuld definitely go back
5 star transformation...
Amazing course. Both views, course conditions, staff, amenities...but it's the course that has transformed into one of the best courses around that area. Matt the owner, transformed this course into something special. And when we were there recently, course was backed up because of a drunkathon event that delayed tee times by almost an hour. But Matt the owner / CEO showed up to reassure that things will move on and pace of play will be restored in which they did. That speaks volumes, to show up and put concerns forefront. Both Matt and Jesse made every attempt to reassure folks that this was a one off situation and will better themselves for next scenario. I have played many courses through out the country and The Vue is poised to be THE golf destination in this area. This review was posted by Jeff from Jersey...
Upgrades
I hadn’t played this course in a couple years and expectations were not set very high. I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to when all the changes and upgrades are complete
The staff is incredibly welcoming - course is a bit tough
Course needs some
Maintenance. Lots of blind spots tough for first time player. I would give this course a year to get in better shape. Greens are super fast and no breaks anywhere. Love the promontory to tee off from. Great and welcoming staff.
What a change!
Haven’t been to this course in many, many years as used to play it regularly on a league. Was shocked at the VUE! So many trees had been taken down, incredible views of new haven, east rock etc. The layout has been reworked yet some holes remain the same. Had to go off back 9 due to a shotgun tournament on the front. Looking forward to going again to check out the front. It’s still a work in progress course but their future is very promising.
Needs more work.
Bunkers and cart paths need improvement. Every hole needs to be tamped down more after plugging a new hole.
Nice course
Course was in good condition. Weather was around 100 degrees, a few jugs of cold drinking water around the course would have been nice.
The Vue Is Getting There... But Isn't There Yet
We went to The Vue again since we were able to get a Golf Now Hot Deal, which made this course affordable. Otherwise, they're still charging too much for where the remodel project is. Staff is always amazing here... from the Pro Shop to the Food/Drink Staff! They will deliver drinks directly to you on the course, which is great. But there is absolutely NO water jugs on the course, which is totally unacceptable. Significant improvements have been made to the tee boxes, fairways and greens. The new carts are great however, the cart paths and non-primary areas are still a mess. I'm sure they'll get there and it'll be beautiful. It just isn't there yet.
The Cast from Entourage opens a LIV Golf course
What is this place? It immediately gave LIV and Entourage vibes. The guy working the pro shop, Vinny Chase, couldn't have cared less that I was there to check in, he was too busy talking to other workers. The "new" renovated building is a modern eye soar with hallways and bathrooms that look like they haven't been touched since the 70's.
It's basically a golf course surrounded by a constructions site...I'm not a golf snob, but a little bit of maintenance and landscaping goes a long way.
I went off as a single, and it was slow. I was behind two three or foursomes and another single. At the 11th tee box, a ranger appeared for the first time all round and told me that they couldn't have singles playing because of how backed up they were and the complaints about how slow it was. He told me I'd have to play with the threesome of younger guys behind me- they were nice guys, but played at a significantly lower level than me and without basic golf etiquette...what started as a good round for me pretty quickly took a turn because of all this. I understand if a course gets crowded or things slow down, but either don't let a single go off in the first place or catch the single at the turn and make the adjustment. It was obvious that a ranger was sent out, and made changes without first getting an idea of what was actually going on and what group(s) were causing the slow pace.
Don't feel the need to come back here.
