At this excellent par-4, the third fairway curves around a large pond, a threat to both drive and approach shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

The fifth is a long par-4 that plays downhill from a high tee, then on towards this sprawling green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

Seven, a long par-3, is easily one of the course’s hardest holes–partly because it is so well protected by greenside bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 12/13/2022

One. 354-yard par four. The 13-index opens things up somewhat gently, yet the green is well-bunkered. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Three, par-4, 423. The hole plays downhill but to a tight landing zone guarded by the pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

The 492-yard, par-5 fifth is tempting for big hitters. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Seven, par-3, 249. It’s easy to see why this is the toughest three-par on the golf course. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Eighth. This long 5-par (579) is open enough for swinging away from the tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Sixteen will require your best drive to this tight, dog-legging fairway. The second shot is no picnic, either. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/29/2021

Would be great in a few years
They have certainly put a lot of money into the restaurant and banquet area, albeit that isn't quite finished yet with work to do at the bathrooms and other areas around the pro-shop. We had a "hot deal" through GolfPass for it and gave the course a try. It was a nice layout with some challenging holes, but apart from the fairways, the rest of the course wasn't in the best condition. Cart paths and everything around the perimeters of each hole were in poor condition. There were patches of dirt throughout the course, and you could tell they are trying to put money into it. The bunkers were primarily small rocks, and the greens weren't in great condition. Though, the greens seemed to be in poor condition because of the players, not the course staff. Someone had taken their putter into the green on multiple holes, causing gashes, and people had driven carts right up to, if not onto, the greens which made chipping conditions difficult. In a few years and with a good amount of money, I expect this will be a great course to remember, but right now, it played as a "value" course.
Good at this price
Fairways and greens in nice condition, cart paths are herendus, sand traps in poor condition.
Still waiting
This course had fallen off BUT they have done MAJOR renovations. The greens and fairways have improved dramatically.
There is just a lot more work to do.
You can see the work being done. And the plans going forward. But I wish I knew it was still under construction in many areas. I am very excited to see what the VUE will look like in a couple years
Getting Better
I haven't played the course in 2 years, so I was interested to see the changes. The club house, bar and pro shop look great. The fairways and greens were in very good shape. Greens a bit too slow. I don't care for all the tree cutting that they have done, but it almost appears like they're switching over to a linx course. The sand traps are terrible, no sand only clay and stone. The cart paths are getting better but are still embarrassingly bad. Probably won't play it again until next year.
Good Course, But Still Needs Work
Me and my buddy try to play here a few times a year to see how they are progressing with their renovations. The course is the best it has been in years. I still think the price is a bit high for the condition the course is in. On top of it all, I don't think they realized it was a holiday yesterday, because the double booked. They had a weekly Sr league playing in the morning so all of the tee times got pushed back by an hour or two. I was most disappointed by this.
New look
Course was in great shape and lots of recent renovations did the club good. Improved view of the surrounding area. Rangers and staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great layout
Awesome layout. Much improved from years ago. Need to continue to do work on cart paths and sand traps but awesome course. Very impressed
Disappointed
The good stuff: Fairways and greens were in nice condition. They are doing a ton of work and the clubhouse looks really nice
Not so good: Pace of play was brutal especially for a tuesday morning.
The course layout does not help the pace. Green to tee either really long or right on top of each other.
Hilly ok but even if you put the ball in the fairway you feel like you are scrambling - ball above your feet, below your feet. And too many blind tee shots for my liking.
Wanted to grab something to eat at the turn and give the group ahead of me some space. The cook hadn't shown up for work yet. The bartender was super nice and offered to make me a hotdog.
On the back nine, I felt like the grounds crew was following me with their spraying equipment. I used to be on a crew. You find a spot to duck and cover and let group go by. 🤷🏻♂️not these guys.
Dont think i will be returning anytime soon
Working on it but needs time
I knew this course was being rebuilt but it still needs more time to be played. the cart paths are being redone, but in the meantime they are terrible. the Tee boxes are fair at best being uneven and with grass like the first cut of rough. The fairways are in decent shape for early in the year, but the greens were a little long, This could be because of all the recent rain not allowing proper mowing. The rough is in poor shape. Overall I think the course needs a year of work before it will be in good shape but it could be a nice course then. Also is a little long for my game and could use a senior tee.
Nice layout
This course has a beautiful layout. Our teetime was scheduled in the middle of a tournament. We were rushed to the tee box 30 minutes prior to our tee time.
Conditions of greens and fairways were good.
Tee boxes were okay, some not level at all or very wet.
Bunkers were filled with rocks and cart paths are still really bumpy.
Hopefully they can get the course work finished this year. Has incredible potential but not there yet. Beautiful views as well.
VUE is a hidden gem.
Great overall course. New ownership doing great job
