Laurel View is on the move!
I love playing Laurel View, or the Vue, as it now seems to be called! 5 stars across the board is a high rating, and there are areas in need of improvement: sand traps, cart paths… But when one sees how diligently the owners/developers are working to make this a top flight facility credit needs to be given, even if in advance! Fairways, greens and tee boxes are in great shape! Keep at it, Vue!

Work in progress
A lot of work has been done at The Vue, but still much to do. Tees and greens were very good. Bunkers and general course conditions were very spotty. $25 per person for cart rental seems a bit over the top. The clubhouse is still a hot mess. One of these days (years ?) this could be a premiere course, but it’s not there yet.

Great value and fun course
Really enjoyed this course. Beautiful views. Barely any houses, no cars or roads, nice serene environment. Fun layout. Cart paths and bunkers need work but the conditions were great otherwise. Clubhouse is under renovation currently. Played a 3 hour round mid week. Well worth it. I will be back.

Laurel View is on the way back
I have played this course multiple times over the last 10 years. This is the first season in a number of years where the conditions were almost ideal. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in excellent shape. Bunkers are still poorly maintained. Had a perfect day of weather during my round, and pace of play was great for a Sat. morning round. For the price, well worth a trip to Hamden.

They charge us $50 per outdated cart, because I got t-time on GolfNow. Never will go there again.

Well groomed
Very nice course. Greens and fairways were in great condition. Well managed. Many hills on course. Good layout and challenging but not narrow enough to be too aggressive. Well worth the price. Nice carts as well.

Course needs work
Primary complaint is the condition of the cart paths. Very difficult to drive on. Played with person with bad back and he was not happy. Front nine holes are too tight together. And back very hilly.

To earn a fifth star the club should finish the clubhouse and bathrooms, pave all the cart path, and provide gold tee markers consistently.
