Play it Again
2nd time playing this layout within the last few weeks. Will definitely be playing it again. Would recommend it to everyone.
Good round
Overall, golf course was good. The Teeboxs need improvement as they are not flat. A Marshall would be Nice to speed up the play we got caught behind a group that would not let us play through this. This is not a course that you do not want to walk. It would also be nice if hidden water had makers to let you know where they are. There is a lot of long walks between holes but overall we had a good time and the course was in good condition.
SEBRING INTERNATIONAL GOLF RESORT
This was the first time we played this course since the change of ownership. Unfortunately there was a lack of indications for the layout of each hole and the GPS did not work. We understand that they are still finishing the layout of the fairways but when it is complete it will be a beautiful course to play. The greens are very large, the staff very welcoming. We will return there.
Pleasantly surprised!
This newly renovated Now 18 hole layout, surprise me and how well it was maintained. Not exactly one of the premier courses in the area, but most definitely will be back to play it again! Would definitely recommend it!
The staff were very courteous, but the course changes are pathetic.
From what it used to be and what it is now it has been reversed 150%.
I cannot see it making money it is just awful.
Definitely worth a trip
Had a good time out there today. The average golfer is going to find this to be a very challenging course. Move up a tee box and enjoy your game. Course is a work in progress but they are definitely moving in the right direction. Got stuck behind a wedding party on the front nine that slowed pace down a bit. They had like 8 people playing in one group. A marshal on the course could correct that real quick. Back nine pace was on point. I’ll play it again.
Course redo
First time I’ve played here since the course was redone. Fairways were in great shape. Greens were good with a couple having bald spots and they were much slower than they used to be. Fine with me. At 77 years old I play the forward tee box. Every hole was doable if you hot you shots. I shot 83 which is my usual with a couple Mullies.
Work in progress
This course was formerly Spring Lake. New ownership are re-doing the course. It is a work in progress but still very nice. Challenging with lots of water. Will definitely keep coming back.
They just coming back from a shutdown and redoing the course and layout. It's going to take a lot of time and grooming.
They are aggressively working on 2 of the 3 9's. The 3rd should be coming around in the next quarter. Unfortunately management does not have a good track record on following through with what they tell you.
My hope is they do for our golf community.
Getting better each time
Still a ways to go but definitely seeing improvements. Overall greens were in good shape. Some of the fairways had crabgrass but not that bad.
Friendly staff
We were greeted by Brad at the pro shop and from the start he was very welcoming and helpful. The course itself was great. Will definitely be coming back.
Coming along nicely
They have the green and yellow courses now open but are still working on the red. Overall the courses are in good shape with the greens better than some of the courses I,ve played. Pro shop personnel very friendly and helpfull. The yellow course is interesting with some doglegs and the 9th hole is a interesting hole because either way you have o drive over the creek to reach the fairway or unleash your inner Bryson if you want to drive the green.
Heading in the right direction, Very Nice.
We played here after a lot of rain and wanted to play the Green and the Yellow 9's. The course was soaked by rain overnight and the Pro told us that we were welcome to play the Green 9 twice if the Yellow Nine was not dry enough after we made the turn. The Green 9 was fun, several of the greens needed some TLC, which we could tell was being addressed. Having been employed at a few golf courses over the years I understand how hard it is to keep conditions plush when rain and heat are constant. When we finished the Green 9 the Pro directed us to play the first 3 holes on the Yellow course as they were playable even with the wet conditions. If the rest of the Yellow is as good as those 3 holes then this will be a treat. They were plush. Greens were slow, naturally as they were not cut, but they were in excellent health. We then went and played the Green 9 again to finish the day. I would recommend this golf course and I'll keep an eye out when the Red nine is open so I can go back and give it a go as well. Everyone we had contact with was very cordial and went out of their way to accommodate. We live full-time in Florida and play 3 or more times a week. We travel often in the summer to take advantage of reciprocals from our club in Deep Creek.
Keeps getting better
Both the green and yellow courses are coming along nicely I see improvement every time I play .The greens are in great shape and well maintained ,they are still working hard to get it ready for “the season “ ahead. Brad in the pro shop is great and the grounds guys are great also . When you get done check out the Speakeasy it was very good. I enjoy playing here it’s challenging but fair coming back soon
Much Improved!
You can see the investment in the course and facility. Course is in good condition and getting better daily. Friendly staff make it a Highlands County must play.
