North Course at Highlands Ridge

Love the over seeding they did with the rye grass. Fairways are green and lush compared to other courses in the area.

Went to Highlands Ridge for the third time this year and it gets better and better. We came over from Tampa. Talked to the GM John in the shop and he said they finally got rain this weekend. Fairways are as good as you will find in this market and the Tiff Eagle Greens are very quick. This is the only course over seeded with rye grass in this market. It so nice to play on Green Grass! The owners and management are really making an effort to make this place Great Again!.

I highly recommend Highlands Ridge. The staff is awesome.

This course used to be the premiere course of Highlands County, but it is not anymore! The course is very dry, some of the tees and fairways are over seeded with Rye grass but most are not. The greens are hard with many bare spots, and ate not receptive to approach shots. It is obvious that the current owners are sucking anything they can out of the course and are trying to maximize profits while attempting to sell the courses.

My first time playing this course and I was very happy with what I experienced. Course has mogul style fairways which are in very good condition. I will definitely come back a play again. Despite the lack of rain in Florida this time of year it's still green and lush in the areas that need to be. Great value for quality golf course. Highly recommend playing this place!

The course was in the best shape of anything we’ve played in the last couple of weeks.

Great layout and very playable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice restaurant. Course conditions very good for February. Greens roll true.

Played Sunday with our Group, Came over from Tampa. What a great layout, worth the drive. Overseeded Fairways and fast Tiff Eagle Greens. GM John Harbison introduced himself and seemed very interested in our experience. Saw us after the round and gave us a bouce back coupon and we will be back, introduced the Head Greens Superintendent to us Jeff Brown. If you looking for a great experience not far from Tampa or Oralndo this is a big time golf course with excellent conditions and staff. Had a beer in the pub and can not say enough about the people working at this course. The lay out is big, not many homes on it which is refreshing and the greens were very fast. Show that the ownership is putting money into the course. Also played in less than four hours.

Played this course for the first time Sunday. It is one of the best layouts I have ever played in Florida and I cannot believe it is 20 years old. Truly one of the best courses I have played in Florida and I play a lot. It is plenty long from the Blue tees but my son played it from the tips, it is very spacious, plenty of room to hit driver and recently over seeded with rye grass and greener than any private club we have played in Orlando. The owners are doing a ton of work and it shows. We met the GM in club house and he came out to Thank us for playing there and gave us a bounce back coupon. Checked on our round twice while we were there. We will be back. Such a great experience compared to where we play in Orlando and it only took an hour to get there. Greens were rolling about 10 and John said they will be getting them faster as the season progresses. Cant thank John and his staff enough. Highlands Ridge exceeded my expectations. It is worth the fees and the drive plus we played under 4 hours.

This great lay out is getting in great conditions as they are over seeding the North Course in the coming weeks, Greens are now rolling at a 10, New Superintendent Jeff is really making a difference. I met John Harbison the new PGA General Manager, he was out meeting players and giving bounce back coupons for the winter. They are working hard to get this course in great conditions and he told me they are over seeding the rest of the North Course before December 1st. Played behind some members who let us go through and they were so excited about the future. I can't say enough about the hospitality at Highlands Ridge you can tell they care.

Greens were a little grainy but they’re coming around. Little more rain and a few mowings and rolls and should be a 5
