The par-5 third has a reachable green, tempting you to attack it in two. A pond lies behind. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/16/2020

Fun course, great staff!
I had a Monday off and took advantage of a special. After friends couldn’t join I book anyway. When I arrived, the man in the pro shop informed me that the other 3 that filled the time seemed like jerks and told me to go ahead in front of them. To make a long story short, I played through and had a great time. The course was in great shape. I highly recommend this course. Very scenic and some challenging holes. I’ve played here many times and will be back again!
Quarry Ridge is always a good time.
Good was in good shape, thought after a few days of rain the greens would be a little more receptive, nope... still carnival style but we enjoy the challenge.
Great to get out and the Fall is the best time of year at Quarry, just awesome colors.
Pleased
Course in really good condition. Very pleased that leaves were picked up on fairways and deep into rough. Paired with two others that have hi handicap, pace really slow, tough to get in groove when they play poorly.
Great value for golf now coupon.
Fall Golf
Fantastic time of year to experience Quarry Ridge, Course is in excellent shape and staff is always great.
Weekend golf !
There is nothing better than playing golf with ur friends on a Sunday afternoon. I look forward to this every Sunday, cause I get to see all three of my best friends, we try our best to get out on the course every Sunday at Quarry Ridge Golf Course, in Portland Connecticut. This course is great for every level of golfers. The pace of play here is usually four hours for 18 holes, but for some reason today was really I mean really slow. Our tee time was 2:00pm and we didn't finished until 7:23pm. Today was really bad. Other than that, everything was great. The tee box, fairways and green s were in great condition and the golf staff here are very friendly. I can't say enough how nice this course layout, the view here is so beautiful, everyone should play here before they close the course for the season. Thanks again for having us.
Autumn surprise
Quarry Ridge is a little known gem in CT.
What a surprise to find a well laid out course
Autumn views and professional and friendly staff, including the sandwich gazebo..
I will be back soon.
Enjoyed the round
Haven’t played here in over 8 years. Decided to give it another shot as I’m a much better golfer now the. I was the first time around. The greens are in great shape. Tee boxes and fairways could use some love. Very quirky design. You can’t walk 18 here. The following tee boxes are not always near the previous green. A lot of uneven lies, which make your second/third shot interesting. Overall, it’s a good course for the price. I’m over an hour away, so may not play again in 2020, but I’ll go back next season
Beautiful day
Beautiful Indian Summer day for golf. The course itself has seen better days, and was in “just okay” condition. That said, I still enjoyed the day overall.
Pace of play was horrendous. Waited on every single tee. It was about a 4 hour and 45 minute round. I guess it could be worse, but I hate waiting all the time.
Overall, they seem to be doing a good job with the COVID rules etc.
I think the $53 greens fee is a little steep for the conditions and pace of play, but I will give it another try next year.
Good course
Nice course, tough due to s]dry conditions and hilly terrain. Excellent greens.
Nice time
Course was great- was in great condition- always enjoy the challenging holes on the course-
Good afternoon of golf
Nice afternoon of golf. The greens were in good shape but people need to repair their ball marks. Some of the Tee boxes are in poor condition with little or no grass.
Staff is always friendly and pace of play was good 4.15 on a Sunday afternoon. No cart girl bot the outside bar was open
If you like elevation changes and seinic golf this is the place to play.
Good condition!
The course was playing very scoreable today, because the bounces weren’t so crazy that a slightly pulled shot would fall off a cliff or roll down a hill. I’m an 11 handicap and shot 82, so I was pleased. Keep it soft and the rough nice and grown before the elevation drop-offs!
