The par-5 third has a reachable green, tempting you to attack it in two. A pond lies behind. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/16/2020

Signature hole: Six, another short five-par, is full of treachery. The views may compensate for any woes you experience. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/16/2020

Fourteen: As one of my playing partners (an excellent putter, on left) and I agreed, these greens are challenging. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 08/16/2020

It was a 5 hour round which is too long for mid week. We started on the back which was fine, but had people in front of us at the turn. That's just not right. The greens were extremely firm and difficult to hold. Other than that I love the course and will make the hour trip again.
The best public track around. Period.
Everything about Quarry is incredible. The views. The layout. The conditions. And a wonderful staff as well. Definitely great value for your money. Must play.
Mountain Course
Don’t walk !! You’d have to be a billy goat to walk this course. Having said that, the views are awesome. I imagine in the fall it would be spectacular. Definitely a target golf course. Not a lot of room for small mistakes. Greens are good. Wind was horrible the day we played, which made it extremely difficult. All in all though, a good course.
Good challenging muni
If you want a challenging and nice course you have to try this. built on a mountain side you have to place your shots to stay in play. Course in great shape this early in the season.
Final day!
This golf course is always in good shape. My friend and I had a great day, there was no one around after we finish the front nine, because a lot of people only play nine hole. We had a foursome and we were finish in three hours and ten minutes. None of us lost any golf ball. This course is so clean, not a single leaf on the fairways. Every golf course should clean up there course like Quarry Ridge Golf Course. Today is there final day for the season, so I would recommend this course for next year to anyone that never played here to come out and play this beautiful golf course. I like to thank all the staff at Quarry Ridge Golf Course for keeping and maintain ing the golf course in such a great shape all year long. See you guys next year !
Greens still smooth
Very glad to see that they put off aeration of greens. They were still smooth and played quite fair- lots of ball marks- but these did not affect the nature of the game.
Fun layout. Don't play a slice with the wind... the ball will just keep going and going...
Very challenging course. Course very well maintained. Greens were well groomed and played hard.
Great
I have played many public courses in ct this year . Quarry ridge was in the best shape of any I played . Greens ball Mark free and pure . Nice layout , many tight holes but also some par fours you can drive . Overall great round and course . Keep up the good work
Always a challenging course
First time this season at Quarry, the course didn't disappoint. There was some type of outing there and we were the group following the last foursome........I wish our tee time was 30 minutes later..... The last 4some in the outing were , well, terrible.....we are not great golfers by any means, but they were brutal.
Anyway, I would just suggest that in the future leave a little bigger of a window of time between last group of an outing to first group of public tee times..
