Beautiful course Photo submitted by bngilliland on 03/18/2023
Great round for value, don't expect extras....
We've played this course several times, dollar for value is amazing and the course was in great physical shape. Staff will always leave you wanting and customer service is awful. Don't expect anyone to cook lunch for you at the halfway house, don't expect the typical local friendly experience you'll receive anywhere else. We were called off the course for weather concerns and even after I explained my party of 7 was from New York and only visiting for the week, they couldn't offer me any type of rain check. Even after pleading my case they mentioned 9 hole rain check for the next 30 days. Considering the hotdeal is 14 all in and 29 typically, they'd rather nickel and dime over ten bucks instead of getting repeat business from my family. I can honestly say this is the perfect venue for beginning and amateur golfers, never a wait and never over populated but expect sand traps to constantly be flooded with water, rangers who will hover every other hole and the worst customer service experience in the region.
This course has improved it conditions!
Better fairway and greens than 2016. Play is slow!
Challenging Course
Jonathan's Landing is a nice challenging course with a great mix of long and short holes. The marsh, ponds and links add to the challenge. It offsets the driveable par 4's with a couple long par 5's. Course is in great shape
has potential
The greens were unputtable because the grass was like putting on shag carpet. The fairway grass was 3 inches deep with some kind of grass or weed that was seeding. The rough was covered with dandelions and clover. Decent layout but needs to be mowed regularly and weeds to be addressed.
Bar staff bad course
Staff is rude and course is in terrible unplayable conditions! Air rated mud plugs all over every fairway and 10 of 18 greens were covered in sand! One of the worst courses I've ever played. And the grumpy old man at the register didn't Care one bit. Very disappointed
Nice public course
I like playing this course. Got a really cheap golf now deal to make it better. The course is in OK condition except the greens which have been plugged but most courses are doing spring aeration now.
Stay away
Greens have been aerated , fairways have dead patches.
This course needs a lot of work right now. Only saving grace was we paid $12 through Golf Now. Still probably overpriced for its current condition.
The course was not well taken care of.
Greens were scalped, drill plugs left in piles around green. Just not worth the low golf now price, I'm done with this course.
what greens
Worse green conditions I have ever played. Scalped badly, hardy any grass left. I would close the course to let heal for a while. Putting in the parking lot would be smoother. Unbelievable. I hope this is temporary.
Bad Greens
The course is the worst I've ever seen it. The greens are diseased and dieing. They were aerating the back, the front was aerated but not clean of plugs. We had to play the front twice. The course should have been closed. Worst round of golf ever.
Rude staff
When I checked in for my tee time the staff seem to have an attitude because I was booking with golf now and playing at a reduced rate.
Great layout
Played on 6/27/16. This course has a great layout. What they do not have is management that take responsibility for making a mistake. Greens had big clumps of wet grass on them after being mowed. It was the fault of a new trainee to bad for us. I was told to call Golf Now and ask for a refund. Would never recommend this course to anyone.
Worth a try.
Enjoyed playing the cours. Only drawbacks were that the rough is fairly deep, could be cut down some, and the greens were dry & fast with lots of bumps.
Nice quick round, better conditions than expected
I played this round after a day of rain so I expected every hole to be under water. Only a couple holes held excessive water in the fairway and the rest played very well. Had very good potential in good weather and played better than it has in the past. Also with only a couple other people on the course, I got my round in around 3 hours.
A Go To Course
Although Jonathan's Landing is almost an hour away from me, I do love playing the course. It is always in very good shape, and the staff is always friendly. Plus, you can't beat the deals on GolfNow.com!!!!!!
Jonathan's Landing
Course has tremendous potential to be a lot of fun -several easy holes several very difficult holes. Cut the rough !!!!! so us amateurs can play out of it and have a chance on the hole if we miss the fairway. many fairways were wide but several were way too narrow with too deep Rough. Number 18 The rough Was twice as wide as the fairway. it is already a long par 4 for most golfers and impossible to reach from 200 yards in the rough The greens were Frustrating slow and bumpy. I still would have enjoyed my round had I not had to hack out of the rough so often I can live with slow greens if I have at least reach them in regulation CUT THE ROUGH TO A FAIR HEIGHT SO US MID HANDICAPERS CAN HAVE SOME FUN. This is not a US Open course
Front 9 is a challenge, starting with 2 par 5's, and course condition are better on the back 9. But I will say it was my first time playing here too. Not knowing the layout made the front 9 difficult for me not being a long ball hitter. Enjoy the back 9, will play it again. There are no yardage markers other than 100, 150, 200 markers. Would like to see sprinkler heads marked. Driving range balls are old and soft,
