Tee box #4 Photo submitted by meanderson73 on 08/06/2019
When you get as many strokes per dollar as I did, it's a great round!
Tough but fair course!
Tough course, but playable. Some long holes!
Pace was good. Course was in great shape!!
Rookery Review
I played with my son and two random guys. The course was in excellent condition. My only complaint was the foursome in front of us were not accomplished golfers and played slow. I watched one of the players hut a ball into the water, drop two more balls, hit them both in the water then repeatedly slam his club on the ground. It would have been helpful if there was a ranger to get these guys to move a little faster.
Rookery Golf Nice Course at the Beach
Played 3/31/26. Looks like it was recently aerated but it was still rolling well. It's one of my favorite golf courses near the Delaware beaches. Nice layout with long and short challenging holes. It's a fun golf course
glorified par 3
this course has great conditions but for the love of god the old man that runs the front desk could not be more rude, was very dismissive and is not friendly at all, as a local that has grown up playing this course its sad to watch them charge 100 dollars for a glorified par 3 as it is not a difficult track. The worse thing by far has to be the pace of play, the do not regulate it at all, and its striking to sit there and watch older people take 20 mins just to get far enough from the tee boxes to hit your first shot, as they will hit multiple balls or sit there and pull balls out of the water and will not let you play through them. would recommend going anywhere other then here if you want to play a round that is sub 5 hours
Pace of Play
It shouldn’t take 3 hours to play 9 holes. They need to start enforcing pace of play. I’m not anywhere near a good golfer but I’ve never waited around so long in-between shots. I guess on a positive note you get to search for a bunch of “lost” golf balls.
Fair pins and cool layout
Lots of risk/reward par 4s. Fun to play. Great shape only one or two greens a little patchy but can’t complain
Nice course, over priced
Course was nice with a good layout. Greens were ok with a lot of ball marks that were not repaired by the golfers. Clubhouse and pro shop are small with limited hours
