Saturday
With all the rain Friday afternoon and Saturday morning the course was in great shape and drained well.
One down side was paid $60.00 for the round but had to play holes 1-9 twice. Started on hole 1 went to the 10th tee after the 9th to find a foursome and two twosomes waiting to tee off. Would have turned into a 6 hour round. Not sure why they started sending groups off on the 10th when you have groups coming off the 9th
Great Course
Course is in great shape, good pace (especially for a Sunday) and staff is super friendly.
Great location
Course is beautiful! Started groups on hole 10? Why? Thunderstorm came through which caused a delay. After about 30 min the skies cleared to finish what holes I could get in. The front is a great lay out. Hole 3 and 5!
SLOW
We played on a perfect Wednesday afternoon.
CONS:
-Pace of play is terrible. They need to offer fewer tee times. I've played here a number of times and have never had a smooth pace.
-Too many divots untreated
-Gotten more expensive?
PRO:
-Greens are difficult and break
-Overall staff is helpful
-Solid course overall
-Has a range and practice area
Better than expected
We played on a wet and windy day...
CONS:
-Pro Shop attendant was annoying and unprofessional
-Range is short
-Starter's knowledge
-Short"er" course
PROS:
-Course held up to tough weather conditions
-Well maintained
-A few tough holes
-Food & Drink
-Price was fair
First Round of Season
First round of season at "The Rock" Greens had just been aerated so that made for some interesting putts. Pace of play was good up until the 6th hole then it slowed considerably. We started on #9 so most of the round the pace was excellent. Staff was excellent as always. They got us out early so we were able to finish 18 holes before dark. The rough is long and unforgiving as alway so keep it in the fairway. I really enjoy playing this course!
Recently played at Rock Manor
If you appreciate playing golf for the skills you’ll get by playing a challenging course, the Rock is a course you can’t pass up.
Everyone we encountered from the Pro Shop staff to the Starter to the Beverage Service person was friendly and courteous.
Awesome.
Cold April Round
Enjoyed Rock Manor on a windy cool day in April. Pace of play........3.5 hours for 1st 18.......same for 2nd round. Moving around the course, at that speed, made for a GREAT GOLFING DAY with GREAT GOLFING BUDDIES. NICE putting green !
The rock sucks no longer!
I haven’t played this course since they remodeled it a few years ago. It’s a really nice layout now, and I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately it is a little pricey and there are slow play issues so I probably won’t play here very often but it was a great place to play for a late winter round.
Good course
Like the layout. Fun fair holes are a challenge. Sand bunkers had white powdery sand. I will play here again.
Great Experience!
The course was beautifully maintained for late November. Great staff. Decent food. Challenging course. Great scenery. Greens were in fantastic shape. Awesome day of golf!
Nice surprise
A friend suggested we go there on a coldish Sunday and I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the layout of the course a lot with one hole (17) set up a little awkward for me. Fairways and greens were in good condition for November in this area and rough was cut a manageable length. The holes had variety and didn't beat you up while still offering a challenge. There were enough trees to make it interesting but not so many that they were intrusive to the design.
Awesome track.
This is a great course with lots of challenging holes. Highly recommend this course.
Great layout. Good value
This course since it’s makeover several years ago attracts a lot of players. It is an excellent layout considering it is a municipal course. Challenging from all tee boxes. Greens fast.
Poor course management
Cant let walkers out on a Sunday and they put a 4some on the back nine between us and a 4some in front of us. Cant do that on a busy sunday, let alone any sunday.
Nice place
Tight but not unfair. Pins were wacky but with outing behind us it was probably to protect greens. Good pace. I'd go back!
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
What is the problem with walkers, Sunday or anyday? I know many walkers who play as fast or faster than people in carts when courses are full. More people need to walk. I will say this course has spots where walking to the next hole is long.
