About
Buffalo Run Golf Course is a locally acclaimed 18-hole, municipal course in Commerce City. The links-style layout covers 7,411 yards from its longest tees with a par of 72. Designed by Keith Foster, there are challenging elements such as water hazards and bunkers that come into play on the course. The wind creates difficulty on this golf course. Buffalo Run Golf Course's front nine is less challenging than the back nine but it builds up good practice for the second half of the game. One hole to note is the demanding 13th hole. It is a par-3 that has a well-placed bunker near the green.

Golfer Reviews
Disappointing
The golf now rate was supposed to include range balls but it didn’t, not a huge deal but the staff in the pro shop made no effort to even look into it, Bigger problem was the nearly 3 hour first nine holes which caused me to leave after nine because it was brutal.
Great course with a great staff
This was my second time at this course and it is a fantastic layout. Now I am a little bias because I came within 6” on 17 from a hole in one but it is a good course. I think the back nine is more difficult than the front. The greens roll well and the fairways are in great shape. The one thing I will say is keep it down the middle. The course has a lot of native areas just off the fairway and if your ball goes in there you need a tracking device to find it. The course is a little bit out of the way but so worth the drive. The staff is great and the food at the restaurant is good as well.
Rough is deep or hardpan
Played here today for the first time in a year. The greens and fairways get 4.5 stars. The rough gets 2 stars. You'll either be so deep you can't find it or you'll be on dirt. As long as you could stick to the fairway it was good.
Bring extra balls
Tee boxes and greens in great shape but they haven’t cut the rough and balls disappear and can’t be found. Fairways are good in some areas and almost unplayable in others. We played on Tuesday afternoon and were almost alone for stretches of play. Wouldn’t go back until the rough was better maintained
Never Again
My son and I went to play. The course was poor. Fairways were the worst I have played. Parts of the fairways were bare while other’s were 3 inches. The only positive parts of the course were the greens and the cart girl. She was very pleasant.
Not well-maintained
Not well-maintained, Seems as though the mowers had the week off before I played on Tuesday. Hit several drives in the middle of the fairway that were lost due to failure to have areas mowed. I love the layout of this golf course, but it needs some serious work to be maintained properly. I just don’t think they’re putting in what they need to with man hours and it shows. I’m probably not going back
greens were great, fairways and rough were in poor condition
the fairways were in poor condition having areas that were uncut 3-6 inches and other areas that were bare and the rough was 6-8 inches.
The cart lady was nice and friendly.
Wonderful layout
Nice par threes, greens in great shape, some long holes, , tee box for all levels, some home contruction nearby corse. Great restaurant and very friendly staff.
For a local course I would highly recommend.
Nice practice putting green and practice range.
Gone Down Hill
The tee boxes, fairways and greens are all in good shape. The rough was HORRIBLE. Burned out and dead in a lot of places. It was either 5 inches long or totally bare. The bunkers were also a joke. They were basically clay. And the rough around the bunkers was just weeds. I literally lost my ball in a thicket next to a bunker that was partially washed away from rain. I should have documented this with photos.
Greens were in great shape. Big improvement from 3-4 weeks ago. Some areas of rough were awful. They’re starting to rake traps which is great.
cruel & unusual
Par5, you tee up nicely and you hit your 2nd toward distant 150 marker. Ball lands rather nicely at about the marker. You rush toward to your ball thinking you are going to 3 on and then make a par at least. None sense! You get to your ball only to find yourself in deep rough. What the fxxx! You are in the middle of the fairway, right by the 150 yard marker, but it’s not a fairway. What! How do you explain this! It’s like someone forgot to cut the grass for a while. It’s cruel and it’s unusual.
