Buffalo Run Golf Course

I can't stand it when you have to stay on the cart path for par 4 or par 5. Ugh. I understand that they are still making improvements. I was expecting a course in better shape. I played Murphy's Creek the next day and it was a far better course.

There were some fairways that were in bad shape and needed water and/or replacement. Many were roped off and we couldn't use our cart to access.

Greens and tee boxes seemed to be in pretty good condition.

Great golf course, very friendly staff and the breakfast was great. We would play it again!

The course was in rough shape. Many holes were cart path only.

Enjoyed the course, it’s basically houses both sides of you on the whole course. Long links and well kept course. We had an employee come try to kick us off the course at 8:07 when they told us course would close at 8:25. Employee sat in a golf cart right behind on the 16th us trying to hurry us off the course before closing time. Was not allowed to finish the 18th. Unprofessional and obnoxious. Won’t be back unless I’m desperate

We were quite surprised at this course. It was in great condition. The greens were incredible. The staff was amazing and the price was great. It is a link style course and plays just like one we will be back.

Ways out from Denver but not crowded. Saw drink cart on front 9 but not on the back when a drink would have been nice. No real shade.

I used to play here a lot 3 years ago and it was great but now the course is in absolutely terrible condition. It was worth it to play for 40 bucks but now at 60 bucks it’s just not worth it. Has the potential to be a amazing course but has the worst maintenance I have seen in the Denver area and for the most part has a good staff but the starter/ranger is unnecessary rude, even to me (4.2 HCP). The only reason I am giving the staff a low score is because the starter/ranger is seriously unbelievably rude and makes me want to tell everyone I know not to come here ever just because because of him.

Course is a links style excellent shape. Staff is amazing. Best greens I putted on this year! We will be back agai! Amazing price for this course!

The layout itself was fun with some very challenging components to test your game, but for the money would not recommend this course at all right now. Fairways and rough are in poor condition. A good tee shot in the fairway is still a gamble on getting a good lie, very patchy, lots of areas with no grass. Greens are the only thing in decent shape but quite grainy, doesn’t seem like they get cut or rolled often, ball tends to bounce and zigzag back and forth on a putt. Greens are easy to read, but do not rolled very pure.

The grass on the course has really suffered with the lack or rain / on going irritation project. Hit from several “fairways” that were rough style grass or ground under repair.

Also every pin location on 07/25/24 was placed in the hardest location. IE on a hill and tucked to edge of green / behind bunkers.

Don’t mind a few tucked pins but every green was a little much.

Talked to the maintenance crew while waiting for the group in front of us to clear who admitted they placed the pin locations as hard as possible to mess with their coworker who was playing the course that day.

Still a lot of patchy and/ or overwatered swampy fairways. Greens are improving but slow and bumpy (at least no bare patches like a year ago…). There is a lot of waist-high weeds along the fairways that only present a challenge to the high-handicappers that are already playing slow. I have no idea why they leave foot-tall hay around the green side bunkers - are they hosting the US Open? Seems unnecessarily penal.

Fair warning: go the bathroom in the clubhouse before your round or on the turn. The on-course facilities are literally latrines, Gross.

There are numerous holes that are cart path only but not mentioned to you. Not to mention the course fairways are in horrible condition. Seems like the sprinkler system does. It exist anywhere on this course. Would not come back nor recommend this course to anyone that cares about not hitting their clubs off of dirt patches.

Course in good health and my game wasn't in good standing. Find myself in few feet off the fairway and rough is very rough to get out. So prepare yourself to hold tight on those clubs and swing out your shoes to get out of the rough.

Staff are Friendly and professional. Bring out a family from Texas was worth it and he would recommend to return again. Thanks again and will return
