this course needs a management
The course needs to be managed better and they need a new grounds crew, Bunkers are filled with dirt and gravel, the pace of play is 6 hours for 18 holes, often 5 or 6 people in are in a group and starter wouldn't say anything to them. On a hot day, you might as well bring your own cooler because there are no amenities on the course. Overall, I think they really need take a new look at the course because it has so much potential
Scammers
If a round at this course was only $10, then it would be fine. Biggest rip off/scam of a course I’ve ever seen. Course is in terrible shape, terrible course management and overall horrible experience. I’ve met multiple random golfers at other courses talk about how ripped off they felt and would never go back. I’ve never felt compelled to write a course review but these scammers need to be called out. Avoid at all costs, unless they change their fees to $10 a round, then go for it.
Nope
Staff was rude, one offered us ice. The manager said to not give it to us because “we don’t serve ice here” even though it was for the 4 bears we bought from them and the collet provided.
The wait was even worse.
Dirty. Nothing to offer, corse was run down.
Too many ball marks greens. Terrible.
There was a fivesome in front of us. That's not a big deal, but they were bad, slow, & wasting time on tees & greens.
Better then it used to be
Discourse is way better shape than it used to be about 23 years ago. Definitely would come back and play more. Awesome job
Pass on this course
Bumpy greens with sink holes and old holes not filled in. Close to zero amenities, not even water available. So overbooked that the front nine took 3 hours. Will not be returning
Decent course
This course is decent not as bad as some of these reviews lead on. Greens are in decent shape and pace of play has been good when I’ve gone.
Convenient but at a cost
With being so close to the city I often play here. This course is managed poorly with over booked tee times, awful course conditions, and nearly no amenities. While it seems Fresh Meadow has finally realized a $60 tee time is too high, they still have her to address any on course issues.
Greens are extremely slow, bumpy, and boring.
Bunkers have dirt and gravel, not sand.
Tee boxes are uneven and torn apart.
Carts are horribly maintained, most have rips and tears in the leather upholstery.
Truly an eyesore in every way but I can't stop playing here. Don't be like me, stay away
