Pali Municipal Golf Course

The best fairway grass is in the parking lot. The course has beautiful views and the layout is interesting. But calling the poorly maintained grass a fairway is ridiculous. The fairway is like inch thick fescue grass. There is no difference between fairway and rough. The greens are incredibly slow. And the pace of play was close to 6 hours.

Honestly, even with the low price I will never play this horrible course again. And I live within 5 miles of the course. I swear I could easily imagine hearing dualing banjos when entering the area.

During summer, hit short of green for ball to roll on, green does not hold. Course plays longer during winter months with wet conditions, although it drains well. Fairways are not upkept, greens are slow and breaks toward the ocean. Hardly any sand in the bunkers. Easy to walk on without reservation. No snack bar and no restaurant, only soda machine. Pro shop available with limited amount of items. No driving range, although area for shag your own balls. Putting green available, no chipping. This is a municipal course, don't expect much,. Beautiful scenery similar to Koolau GC but lot cheaper green fees.

Great layout beautiful views interesting holes tough greens to read . show up and play. Moderate greens fees. Can be windy and or wet but most holes drain well. Ball sits down a bit in fairway grass. Requires hitting down(compressing) on most lies from the fairway.
