Fun Day on Lakeview
My friend and I played, we're high handicappers, but enjoyed the day. Some of the fairways were in pretty rough shape, but overall a great course for all skill levels.
It’s a fun little course, pretty flat, but fun.
Well, today was the first time I played in three months. That’s because I tore my Achilles. Felt great being back out there, the first few holes I played horrible. Then all of a sudden I started hitting the ball pretty good, but my score was not so good. But I did get three pars in a row, so I was happy with that. Golf is a hard game and the ultimate challenge. I guess that’s what keeps us coming back.
Course was in good condition for the end of summer
Good place to play
Good course, usually busy, great staff restaurant is not fancy but very good always. Worse thing about this course is their 200 yd. limit on the range. All in all a pretty good value these days.
Fun course to play
The Greens were in pretty good shape especially on the front nine. The back nine fairways were hard and cracked, had to place the ball since those should be ground under repair areas. The tee boxes were a little beat up but still able to find grass to hit off of. It's a fun course and a good layout with numerous opportunities to score well.
Fun course….slow play
Play moved along well until two inexperienced golfers jumped in front of us on the turn.
One man was “teaching” his buddy.
There was no marshall on the course & these two had 3 holes open when we finally asked to play through.
No golf etiquette, No one around to improve pace of play
Slow, why put out singles
Club sends singles out behind 4 somes.
I expect to be grouped with at least one other player. Maintenance crew acts like no one is on the course. Getting ready to hit approach shot and then the mowing crew decides it is time to cut around the green.
Vastly improved
The course is much better since the total sprinkler upgrade, path upgrade and landscaping in general. It trickier than you think for a public course, slope is a 7 points more than average public course.
Conditions
Have played this course 20 years The conditions are the worst I have ever witnessed Fees should be extremely reduced Just awful
