Sandy is a Dandy
Sandy Hollow is a Rockford Park District course. The condition was excellent and this hilly old style course is fantastic. Love the tree lined fairways and smaller greens. If you are visiting the Rockford area play this course.

Great course

Great older course
Course has smaller greens and decent yardage to make it a challang. all holes are different which makes the course fun
Golf
It played so slow it 2 1/2 hours to play 9 holes as I said before the grass is to long that makes slow play. Maybe I will play the county courses. The park district sucks.
Fun Course
Lots of players on the front 9. Since most only played 9, the back 9 was wide open and no pressure to keep moving.

Grass is still to long-makes for slow play-the greens are full of pine needles.

This course is a hidden gem . A must play if your in the neighborhood . Staff very friendly . Great scenery . Challenging for all skills. I will play this course again. The price for the course was a steal .
WHO is controlling number of players in the groups??
I don't get why Sandy Hollow or the Rockford park district is doing making only 2-4 players can sign up on Golf Now tee times. They are ''walking only'' times for crying out loud.. Most of my friends work so I am a single most of the time.. WHAT A JOKE
Awesome course
First time player, hope to have many more opportunities. Drove over an hour to get here. Chose this course based on Golf Advisor ratings, 4.5 out of 5. And I was not disappointed. Course was in great shape and beautiful. Challenging but fair. Numerous elevation changes add to the beauty of the course. Staff was very friendly. Played with a friend and we both decided we would definitely come back again.
Municipal golf as good as it can be
$22 to walk on a Saturday morning. What's not to like? Best breakfast sandwich ever, thanks Linda!
Nice course but they need more carts
Booked a tee time through golf now. Did not realize the cost did not include a cart until we checked in. Additional $16.00 per person for a cart. Lesson learned. I do have to say it was a very nice course though and have played here before. Had a good time.
