Golf Advisor: Top 25 Most Improved U.S. Golf Courses (2022 #16)
Reviews
It’s seen better days.
I can’t say a positive thing about the course itself. Dry and cracked turf. Bad greens. Rock filled bunkers. Unmowed “fairways”.
Been playing here my entire golf life, and it’s the end of the road for me. Woof.
Just (Don't )Do It
I don't ever write reviews ....I play courses all over STL area. Even at $20 dollars with cart for 18 this course is really not worth it. Fairways are non existent, dry and might as well be hitting off dirt infield at your kid's baseball field. Greens have really big bare patches in most of them. River Lakes is in better shape for the money. Or just pay a bit more and go elsewhere. Sorry for the bad but honest review. Just Don't Do It.
Need some Johnny on the spots through the course would be great. Other than that, no complaints
Excellent experience
Ive visited multiple courses early in this season and i have found that this particular one was better then a handful of south county and city courses. Worth the drive for sure. Very nice staff
Nice course
The course was in pretty good shApe. Fairways and greens good. A couple of sqirrely holes.
Waste of a trip
Took 40 minutes to get there which is not the courses fault, but I can find 5 courses closer to me that are similar or better for that price.
Decent layout
Conditions are still kind of rough (late April), but would like to get back here in as month or so and see what it's like.
It’s coming together
Right over the river from me I’d actually call it my home course as I hop out there after early work days to get practice rounds in, love the course the fairways are starting to come back and greens are getting close. Best bang for buck honestly
It's all relative
A good layout with a nice variety of holes. The conditions are a little rough and the greens were recently aerated and sanded. 25 bucks for 18 holes and a cart is a great deal.
Systems down
We came in for a 9:15 tee time
Systems down and no one working inside, the volunteer cart gentlemen got us settled and on our way and just pay at the turn. For the price, the layout, and the staff friendliness impressed me. Great place for an outing.
November
Leaves are no fun in the fall for golf. I was impressed with the upkeep of the course and the speed of the freshly sanded greens. The tee boxes were great and the layout was fun for a first time player. Would definitely recommend and return!
