Historic layout. Great value.
Drove a long way here with a friend to check another Indiana course off my list. Overall, I was not disappointed. Enjoyed the unique layout, especially the 100 year old holes. Pace of play was reasonable for a Saturday. Friendly/welcoming staff - the head pro even greeted us and gave us some local knowledge while we were waiting to tee off. The course conditions were average at best. Food after the round was solid. My expectations were high given the “Top 10 Public Indiana Course” rating, and my opinion is that this has a lot to do with the history of the course.
5/25/2024 father and son
Was running late from Indianapolis due to interstate traffic. Called pro shop and young man that answered was more then nice and accommodating to get us out.
Pros:
Overall course conditions great
Greens have plenty of slope
Greens speed good consistency
Nice carts
Well worth 60 mile drive from Indy
Cons:
Only con I have is would be nice for front middle back colored flags
Didn’t have anything for my son today
Shot 76 from tips 😂
Great round in February
Thanks to the staff and course management. Love coming here to eat a brisket sandwich and play a terrific but difficult course. Greens are always nice and roll smooth. Bunkers can be deadly here.
greens good and fairways good.
course in good shape. no real maintenance issues. try to play once a year. not disappointed.
overall course in good shape
fairways were rolling and greens rolling although greens not overly quick. rough could be punishing if not in fairways.
Go after 3
it’s a nice course but do not pay $55 to play it. go after 3 for a cheaper rate. it has nicer fairways and consistent, big greens, but just not in good enough shape for almost 60 bucks
Indiana's hidden gem
Attica's Harrison Hills Golf & Country Club is truly one of Indiana's best courses, and not just for the money. The course doesn't get a lot of pub, but it's worth your drive and time no matter how away you are.
The rates are very reasonable, especially the $30 senior rate. The course is a mixture of old and new nines. The original nine was built in the 1920s and the back nine along with 2 modified old holes was completed in 1995. The greens are excellent, firm, and undulating. The layout is challenging with a number of doglegs, bunkers, and trees. The pro shop and restaurant are a little lacking, but if you're like me, you'll quickly get over it because of the excellence of the course.
Good day at Harrison hills
Good time playing the course. Greens rolled true. Staff was great working out group golfer issue.
Beautiful course
This course is in amazing condition. Fun and challenging layout. Already booked another tee time!
