Great time!
Enjoyed my first time back in many years. The course and especially the greens were in great shape. I look forward to coming back.
Underwhelming
I’ve been looking forward to playing this course for the first time for some time now. I took my daughter to play her first 18 hole round. The course layout is great. Difficulty is average. I could tell that it was once a very nice private club. Since going public it seems to have dropped in quality and upkeep. The round was about $55 for two non members. There are plenty of courses in the area that are less money and better maintained. Glad I checked it off my list but not sure I’ll be back. Overall a good experience but nothing to write home about.
Beauty in McHenry
It’s a beautiful golf course in McHenry county. Lot of trees & some water hazards made it very challenging for me as I was playing here the very first time. Nice layout & well-maintained fairways & greens (much better conditions than other golf courses in the area). The only problem I noticed was to locate next hole. No signs at # 17 for hole 18. Likewise same problem at a few other holes. Also, pace was terrible the day I played because a large group was playing 36 holes tournament. I was unable to play all 18. Hope this is not a routine issue at this golf course.
Course is Tired
Tired course but if you can play for no more then $40.00 with a cart , It's worth the playing a round.
Never going back, Never
No carts in the parking lot, am a senior and had to carry bag to clubhouse. Told the young man behind the counter about this, didn't register with him. Fairways were hard as a rock, considering hot weather and no rain, they should be watered. Next tees are hard to find if you are not familiar with the course. Feel sorry for the members. Waste of money. NEVER again
