Nice Course
Would have been nice to know they were aerating the greens. Got behind two slow groups on front nine, back nine was a lot quicker.

Outrageous price to play for course conditions
Greens are very poorly kept, tee boxes are so awful you can’t stick a tee in the ground and most of the holes are thick with weeds.

Not worth half what they're charging.
First off I am not a complainer or the type to leave reviews good or bad. However this was the worst experience I have ever had. Two days prior they began aerating so I understand the greens may not be in great shape. They were sanding the greens and dragging them which is totally fine. What isn't fine is waiting on the person dragging the greens all round. The last 4 holes didn't have a flag or cup, just a hole cut with a flag laying on the ground. No bar tender present to get a drink or bite to eat at the turn either. If it wasn't a fairway it was in complete disrepair. Patchy greens is an understatement. Seemingly no management anywhere near to even attempt to rectify I wouldn't come back if they paid me.

Terrible
This course use to be nice. My experience yesterday was awful the greens were terrible. Bald patches on every green the fairway was ok but the rough hadn’t been cut in a while at least 6 inches tall in most spots off the fairway you couldn’t even hit your ball out of it. If you could find your ball. They need to do some work out there.

Meh
Giving them the benefit of the doubt for being late in the season and after some rainfall, however, most greens, fairways, and tee boxes were unkept and in rough shape. Odd layout for the course as well; having to drive through a neighborhood slightly to get to back 9. For $45/person on a weekend, you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere with more amenities. The only positives were that the cart was a double-wide, and the surroundings of the course was aesthetically pleasing.

Decent for the money, can be better elsewhere
Greens are awful, spots of just mud all over, bunkers are very hard as well (could have been me getting there right after they were watered.
Some odd turns and drops but that just makes it a bit more challenging, first time players of the course would be better off with a map or pre hole layout because of this instead of just eyeing it up
FAIRWAYS GOOD...GREENS TERRIBLE
The Greens were much worse since the last time...
Bad spots on 10 out of 18 that were very bad... not a 40.00 green fees Course in this condition...maybe 20.00

Very Rough
The greens were lost too fungusv along with several tee boxes and the rough had not been cut in several days. Very easy to lose a ball that was just off the fairway. The fairways were in decent shape. The course is a great layout but upkeep has been lacking the past several seasons.

Struggling Conditions
Played 9 on the front with no problem on a late Friday afternoon. There is so much potential for this to be a good course. Outer edges of greens are sand pits and burnt. Fairways have a good cut and are fine to hit from but sand traps are in need of help too.

Great course if maintained
Layout of the course was fun and good challenge for good golfers while fair enough to average golfers. Course was in bad shape though and needs better maintenance
Just save the money
Came up to Edwardsville to play with a friend. The course was just bad. Fairways unkept, greens had brown spots all over. Randomly super tight tee shots. I definitely will not be going back. Staff was not super friendly because they wanted to close up early, and 40$ for 18 holes is a scam here. Try another course around.

Awful condition
I have played Fox Creek several times over the years, and this might have been the last time. I can’t think of a single nice thing to say about the condition of the course. The fairways, tee boxes, bunkers, and greens looked like they had been (maybe) mowed this week, but other than that no maintenance was noticeable. At this price point, it was an absolute waste of money.

Golf now charged me twice for one round
Trying to book a round at fox creek..golfnow app says tee time no longer available. I choose another tee time and check out. Then I check my bank account and realize I made two reservations. Cancel one and golf now says I'm not eligible for a refund. It was more than 24 hours from the tee time. We played the round, it was hot. I won't be using golfnow until they refund the money for the cancelled round.
