Legacy Golf Course

I'm A big fan of municipal golf and I love a deal. I'm wiling to overlook some rough edges for a cheap and fast round. This course however is a skip. It pancake flat. All the holes are straight and so boring. There are much better courses out there for the same price that have some interest and variety, like prairies of Cahokia , Ruth park, and Florissant. I got a hot deal for $17 but I won't be back. I'm sure the course is struggling to make ends meet and can't put anything towards some refurbishment. This would be great for a beginner, kids, or landing an airplane. Skip

First off, don’t have your course turned on on GolfNow if you’re having a high school golf match there. Half the course had a match and the other half at practice.. why the heck would you have teetimes open? Now they have GPS on carts, which beep when you leave the car path on cartpath only days. There was no need to be cartpath only yesterday. There was no standing water on any of the courses. Lastly, they should’ve saved the money from the GPS and put it into the greens! The only thing that place had going for it was the greens. The guy that took care of the greens I knew what he was doing evidently left. I would say 6 to 8 greens are completely unusable in some places.

They also employ one of the biggest Richards I’ve ever encountered on a golf course. He couldn’t be more of a Richard.. next time I’m there. I’m going to definitely tell him he’s a Richard. He knows who I’m talking about and he knows it’s him. Them charging $36 to play. This course should be considered a crime. I won’t be bringing anyone there anytime soon.

Good open layout with no hidden hazards. Greens in bad shape, which seems consistent with other area courses, unfortunately.

Rough was long, short cuts a little tight. And, another course where people don’t fix their divots! A lot of hopping going on with longer putts.

Overall, it was a fun course to play and Ii will probably come back.

Love the new GPS units in the carts! Big help for pace of play and keeping people from driving where they shouldn’t.

Entire course wet from rain and heavy due. Had to get off course by noon for kid tournament.

Off fairway grass thick and tall. Many greens looked like they had a disease.

Course usually in good shape. Understand rain has impacted.

Wanted to quit after 1st 3 holes but course improved as it dried out snd they started cutting grass gor tournament.

So yes, still recommend. Believe rain was main impact.

Btw..Lenny’s burger and Lenny’s restaurant are awesome.

Very long fairway and rough grass hard to find balls great course tho

We only got to play the front 9 as inclement weather was pending. The course is wide open but do not miss the fairway. The greens were pristine and very fast. RV was our starter and was very friendly to chat with before our round started. We will be back!

Water everywhere high grass everywhere cart path only 2.5 hours for 9 holes lost balls miserable the place should have been closed said no rain check..

I usually do not write reviews, but after being so disappointed I felt the need to warn others. The course itself is pretty typical, has some nice fairways and nice greens here and there. But customer service is just not a priority. I had an early morning tee time and when I got there I was greeted by a rude gentleman who pushed my tee time back 20 minutes with no explanation.

Unfortunately, although the course is fun, I will not be returning after the treatment and attitude towards me.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Legacy Golf Course. From the moment we were approached, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. The staff member who confronted us was rude, aggressive, and unnecessarily disrespectful. There was no effort to have a professional or courteous conversation, and we were made to feel unwelcome from the start.

Unfortunately, the condition of the course did not justify the way paying customers were treated. Several areas of the course were poorly maintained and fell well below the standards I would expect for the price of a round.

I have played at many golf courses and understand that issues can arise, but there is never an excuse for treating customers with disrespect. We left feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and with no desire to return. Based on our experience, both with the customer service and the condition of the course, I would not recommend Legacy Golf

This course is very flat, so when rains comes it get very wet. The re-seeding of the tees was much needed, coming along. Fairways could be better, but I enjoy this course as a challenge but not too difficult course
