Excellent little municipal course
Drainage can be a problem, so don’t go after a rain, but it’s a nice little track for a good price!
Good course
Very good quick 9 hole course with two challenging par 3s.
Tight course with well maintained greens and tees.
Course is much improved in last few years. Demands accuracy off tees and strong short game. Only one or two "easy" holes.
Fairways are narrow and require precise shots to sloped greens.
Harder than it appears from first sight. Very pretty course!
The staff could be a little friendlier.
The staff can use a crash course in manners. The lady checking us in was unfriendly, and the ranger was not the picture of friendliness either.
Overcrowded, takes 3.5 hours to finish 9 holes, with a cart!
Course is very plain with the exception of trees along the sides, the course takes at least 3.5 hours to finish 9 holes with a cart because they overbook all the time slots.
Decent, Slow, Serves its purpose
Nothing fancy here. Just a good place for a 9er. OK condition, but pace was slow, and we were 25 minutes late for tee time (apparently due to bad planning for a morning league that was lapping twice?). Apparently, no real dress code either.
relaxing and fun
My son and I enjoyed our round of golf and plan on going back in the near future. Some of the holes were easy and others more challenging which is the way a golf course should be set up.
Good test of Golf
Play this course quite often as it is close to my work, and overall it is good value for the money. The course is in decent shape, nothing spectacular but overall pretty good. Nice variety of terrain for the holes...doglegs, straight holes, water features. Being a small nine hole municipal course you get some pretty slow groups out there at times. Try to avoid going during peak hours as your sure to get stuck behind one unless you are exceptionally lucky. Also they are pretty chill on the dress code. seen people at this place in jeans, cutoffs, basketball shorts, you name it.
nice 9 holer
overall for park district course and with golfnow.com prices it was great, i would go here again for quick cheap 9 holes. on the day we played my only complaint was we were behind a foursome of teenage girls who were taking about a dozen shots per hole each( yeah 48 shot) not that i'm pga material but i can keep up with most players this group had entire course backed -up? we could have used ranger help we were at 2 1/2 hours at hole 6, but i remember when i first started so i did not complain just took in the sites and made the best of it
A nice little Muny!
Booked from the iPhone app on my way home from work. They honored my booking even though I accidentally made it for the next day. Staff was friendly, the course is in nice shape. Overall good first round of the year!
Valuable 9
This is my 2nd time playing here this year. On a Thusday afternoon with cart, this makes the afternoon complete your day.
Out and about in 2 hours or less, you get to really try your long drives on wide fairways. Loose a ball or 3...who cares! All greens were excellent for putting makes you feel like a pro. It's green and maintained well.
Just in time when I finished and loading my golf bag back in the car, they sounded the horn because the storm was coming.
Rather boring 9-hole course.
Rather boring 9-hole course. Not well maintained. For $7--beats going to the range---maybe.
Nice Nine!
More challenging then people would think. Play from the tips and you'll be challenged!
Lots of trees, Hit it straight
A little bit expensive for a city owned course. Fun and easy to walk, very flat which leads to poor drainage after a rain.Often gets muddy in the middle of fairways after even mild rain. Greens were better this year than years past, made putting more interesting. Seems to bring out slower players then most courses. No ranger just a starter meens some 5 somes evolve, and nothing gets said. Staff is great, very organized in the club house.
Nice little 9 hole course
Get 9 in anytime on this great little course. It's pretty flat/straight, a little water/bunkers to make it a bit challenging, but not extreme. It was in very good condition when I played in October. And, the staff are more than friendly!
great value for the price
Well maintained little 9 hole course. Plays well at a steady pace. Only issue is with te first par 3 gets a little jumbled there.
not bad......not great either
Decent 9 hole municipal course, in good condition, Greens are flat and not real quick, not really any memorable holes except maybe #9 which is a drivable short par 4. Would play it only if wanting to get in a quick nine and it was on my way,
