About
Arrowhead Golf Club is home to a 27-hole course that is considered one of the best municipal plays in the Chicago area. The holes are divided into the South, East, and West nines, which can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. Water hazards appear on 17 of the 27 holes and there are 77 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Each golf course provides a challenging but different round. Although the club opened in 1927, the South/East Course was renovated in 2011. The course retained its challenging character but it was made more playable for a range of skill levels. In addition to the water and bunkers, there are mature trees throughout the course. Arrowhead G.C. also boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a lighted driving range, putting green, chipping green, and bunkers.

Horrible pace
The round took more than 5 hours. There was an outing in front of us and the ranger was nowhere to be found. It was so frustrating to play in 5:15. No thanks.
great course
Great course. They are redoing the driving range, so that is closed - which was a bummer. It also forced the changing of the routing, so it was a bit tougher walk at times.
Not ready
Using holes from their south course and from their east course was extremely confusing. Cart was not able to give us proper distances. Green fees too expensive for such conditions.
Good not great
The course which is typically in great shape was somewhat beat up. The tees were in bad shape and greens unusually slow. Play here a lot love the layout but maybe just end of season maintenance needed?
Great Golf
My first time at Arrowhead and it is very impressive! Course was in great shape even after lots of rain. We were able to get a tee time the day before and were neither held up or pushed during the round. Beautiful layout with rolling fairways and perfect greens. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend!
Beautiful course
99% of the staff were so friendly. With all the rain it was amazing how well the conditions were. Even the greens rolled well. Pace of play was great. 4some in front of us (2some) let us play through on the 6th hole. I’ve not played when the tee sheet is packed so can’t be sure what it’s like then but man is the course pretty. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for in this case. Easily as good and better than many private courses I’ve played.

Great golf course layout with great greens. Only downside is no intermediary cut of rough goes from fairway to rough.
A bit pricey but worth it.
