Country Hills Golf Course

Although not the best of courses, this is a fantastic value course. Some tight fairways, some wide open. A few greens towards the end of the round were diseased but mostly very true and consistent. Definitely worth the drive and the money.

Played course for the first time. Will probably try again next spring as course was a little rough in some areas. Played a few other courses lately that have had the same late summer issues. For the most part enjoyed the course. Greens were in great shape. It would be nice to have another set of tees in between the whites and the yellows. 6100 yards is a little long for a lot of senior golfers but 4900 yards is pretty short.

You won’t find this course on any top 10 or must play list, but it is a great value and extremely fun course to play. The owners takes pride in his course and saw him several times during our round, once to chastise us for driving between two bunkers - and he was right to do so. It is a short drive from Lincoln or Springfield and is well worth the drive. If you love golf and want to see course stay viable - then get out and play this course.

Country Hills Golf Course in Greenview, IL, is lovely 18 hole facilities that is 30 minutes away from Springfield. It offers a challenging layout in the middle of the countryside. The day I played the course I was able to walk up and play 18. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lunch was very reasonably priced too. I played the course in three hours. I recommend this course for anyone to play.
