Friendly Staff
The office and starter were very friendly and helpful. We had an enjoyable round of golf!
Needs work
Rough conditions for a once really fun course. There is a kickball course here and the flags are everywhere, it seems the tee boxes are affected by that. There is also some serious need for tree trimming, lots of fairways are blocked by overhanging tree limbs. Lots of dead grass mowing clumps everywhere if you miss the fairway/watergrass. Fun challenging holes, but the course needs work, more love & care.
Good price terrible conditions
Great price to play 9 holes. Have played this course for 5 years…off and on. Today course was in terrible condition. Greens great but no one was fixing ball marks. Lost 3 balls in the fairway due to tall grass and weeds. Weeds everywhere. Tee boxes either bare or full of tall weeds. Worse conditions i have ever seen at a city golf course. Cart path was terrible too… had to use it due to rains overnight the night before. Paths need replaced or not used….. D- rating. Staff great!
Unfriendly staff. Computer down.
Have played here multiple times over the past few year and my 6 yo just started going out with me this year. The first time I took him to this course it was fine. Took his clubs, let him choose when he wanted to hit. On 2 holes he hit about 3 balls from the tee (outside the tee box) Just for fun. to get a couple swings on a real course. He loved it. The second time I took him I was told he couldn’t play. I said that’s fine he might only hit like 6 balls from the tees. He won’t damage anything and this isn’t his first time. Three people came out to question my son even being there. So he didn’t play that day. Took him with this past time(8/1). First the computer was down so they couldn’t pull up my reservation. The gentleman working then questioned how old my son was. (This is the only park course that has a rule stipulating age). I assured him that he was 6 and wasn’t going to play. After a scoff a downward glance and some scalding etiquette, we were allowed out on the course. As a public park district course it does not feel conducive to the “come and play” mantra they promote.
Very fun course
We only had time to play 9 holes but it was very fun and everyone was relaxed on the course.
Great course for beginners
Bergen is 8 par 4’s and a short par 3. The par 4’s are not reachable for most players but good drives will leave you with short chips to most greens. Course was in very good shape when I played. Expect a slow pace of play during busy times.
Saturday golf
Course was in good condition. More challenging the Passfield. Friendly staff. Pace of play good for a Saturday.
Municipal course
Of our city courses, this one is a favorite. Always challenging for 9 holes.
Bergen - Great 9-hole Course
The staff was excellent and very nice. The course was in great shape!
Excellent shape
Haven’t been here in 25. BERGEN GC is in perfect shape and the course is in phenomenal shape.
WELL DONE ARDIN & LANCE.
Great, cheap 9 hole course
No water, no sand, lots of trees. Short course, friendly people, course in good condition all summer. Can be slow at times but fast other times. Call to make sure.
