I've been playing Meadowlark for a few years and the course is in great shape. It's a fun and long 9 hole course without water or sand but still enough interesting holes and the need to hit all the clubs in the bag. The staff are all really friendly and this is an excellently run course for the price.
Hot day
Pace of play was right on at 2hrs. The course could use some water. Fairways were a little dried out though it gave me a good roll. Greens were good. Used Golf Now so played 9 holes wall for 2 $20.
Best 9-hole value in Chicago
Ball strikers course. 3,400 yards from the back, 3,200 from the white tees. Course is in great shape. You won't find many hazards, but left/right will cost you. Smallish greens but well kept. Pace of play is generally pretty reasonable. In the end, if you play public forest preserve golf on the weekend, you can't expect 2:15. But you can during the week and that's pretty standard here. Staff are excellent. If I had one beef it would simply be that management (Troon) doesn't provide enough riding carts for a course this long. It's truly short-sighted on their part.
