Indian Bluff Golf Course

About
With a convenient location that is easily accessible from any of the quad cities, Indian Bluff is one of the premier golfing destinations for both eastern Iowa and western Illinois. The 18-hole golf course offers a challenging but fair round that players of all skill levels can enjoy. The hilly terrain is dappled with mature trees and a few natural ponds and lakes. The tight, tree-lined fairways and undulating greens demand accuracy. There are two particularly tricky par-5 holes where you'll face blind shots to narrow landing areas and a few of the par 3s can seem especially long. Strategically placed bunkers frame most of the greens but water comes into play only occasionally, most notably on the seventh hole where a sprawling lake nearly makes an island green.

Nice course
Nice course. Front nine was a little slow paced but back nine was a lot better pace. Greens and fairways were in good shape. With the narrow fairways the course is challenging but fair and fun. Would return again.
Too Hot For Most
It was well over 100 degrees with the heat index, so most people would think it's too hot to be out. That made it super fast with no one in front or behind. I finished 18 by myself with a cart in 2 hours. I was moving fast enough that the breeze made it seem less hot.
Good For Practice
Indian Bluff is a spacious course/ while I hit from senior tees it can be tough from 'tips'. Greens were in great shape, but area has been saturated with rains making 'clean and place' necessary. Not many players as seniors couldn't play in high humidity. Nice course for 1st time out.
Great Conditions, but 2 of the worst holes in the QC
I was impressed with the course conditions. However, there are way too many short Par 4’s. However, that isn’t the real issue with this course. The real issue is Hole 12 & Hole 16. Hole 12 is a 520 yard Par 5 (Dogleg Left) that requires a 320 yard carry over a deep ravine to reach the fairway OR you layup to 200 yards with 300+ left to the green. Poorly designed hole! Hole 16 is a 230 yard Par 3 (that plays uphill). There is a deep ravine that runs from the tee box to the front of the green, which is 210 yards. At either of these holes, being in the ravine will require you to hit a blind tee shot, which is never fun. Indian Bluff has potential, but those 2 holes make it difficult to recommend when there are other good courses in the QC area.
Coarse was closed to carts which means I didn't play. You need to review the definition of coarse closed in respect to carts. I would call and complain, but there is always a 3 hr. wait for reps. Probably other golfers with similar problems who paid for golf they didn't play.
Kane Group
Great staff, Course was in superb condition! Greens were well taken care of even with our drought! Golf Now took me to a great experience!
Indian Bluff
Short, quirky course that is in good condition. Pace of play wasn’t the best. Good value with the hot deal.
value Play
This course is very accessible and roomy to play. For getting out on a course for fun in the sun this is great. Variety of distances and might find time for practicing shots. Especially good for average senior golfer like myself. Lot of local special events and city owned. Any day out golfing is a good day.
Nice greens
Course conditions are always better than expected. Staff does a great job here at this muni. A couple holes are a little quirky (and difficult) but overall a great golf experience for The money.
Course in tremendous condition. Sand traps are manicured to perfection. Most country clubs are not as maintained as Indian Bluff.
Nice Track
Nice little track. Not a long course but there are some holes you have to put the ball in the right spot off the tee and most of the greens are smaller than average. Greens are always in great condition.
