Willow Crest Golf Club

Willow Crest is a beautiful course and much hillier than you would expect in the Chicago area. It's part of a Hilton resort but not well known among area golfers. I played with my brother and cousin and neither had played it before even though they are avid golfers and long time residents. The course was in excellent condition and the weather was perfect. The front 9 greens had been aerated and a little bumpy, but the back 9 greens were smooth and fast. This is a very interesting course where each hole is unique and only a couple of holes have adjoining houses. It's only a par 70, so it plays a lot longer than the yardage on the scorecard. The staff was friendly and the Golfnow rate was a bargain. Due to Covid, there was no cart girl and the lower level bar was closed, but we were able to grab a beer in the hotel lounge. We had a very competitive match and really enjoyed the course for what might be our last round of the year. The only drawback is the lack of a driving range, with only a net to hit into for warming up. We'll be back next year.

they could have spent a little more time raking the bunkers. It would have been easier to chip off the cart path. Otherwise the course was in good shape.

Willow Crest has a.terrific layout. Unfortunately they have some drainage issues and the sand traps are like concrete. I hesitate playing here anymore since they will not take care of the traps. The rest of the course is in great condition. Todays round was really slow. Shame on the starter as they put a foursome out in behind a twosome and they a twosome trailing them. No players assistant was anywhere to be seen. On the plus side the beverage cart was still out and about and we saw them at least four times during the round.

Please give the course the TLC is deserves. It is a great track and i hate to see it fall into disrepair.

No starter on 1st tee box, kinda on your own. course was fine. first few greens were recently aerated, the rest were good.. got behind a 5-some on the third hole, not sure how that happens?? maybe with no starter, people do what they want. Course was in good condition except for the sand traps. Awful! No Sand, only Dirt, and more dirt!

This needs to be addressed immediately!

Well maintained golf course, worth the money. Not too far from the city, very challenging holes because the pin placements, the greens are very interesting and deceiving.

This is a great course for all skill levels. The par 5’s are pretty long for beginners but the par 3’s work well.

The course is in great condition.

The down point is the condition of the sand traps

Course has a good layout and is a lot of fun. Really friendly staff and would definitely recommend!

Most of the course was in good shape; the fairways and rough were lush and the greens rolled true. The only negative was a lack of sand in the traps.

Willow Crest is a course you want to play more than once. Not too long for beginners or weekend golfers and friendly staff make the experience enjoyable.

This is a very solid course, I thought the value for money was good. The only criticism and it might even be harsh criticism is that it was on a Saturday afternoon and a round for x2 people took close to five hours to complete. The pace of play was brutally slow. I would definitely go back though maybe on a quieter day

Many Charengeing holes but check your skills and working out coming back to playing better.all good.
