The course is nice however the greens are challenging especially if you only play there a few times a year.
Haven’t played there in nearly 20 years. Course is in great shape and fair for a senior player. Pace of play was a bit slow. Restaurant was good with great atmosphere. A bit difficult to get tee times since it’s a very popular golf course.
Great course but pin placements should be set up according to USGA guidelines or rethought
Pin placements (unlike practice green). Are never flat/level. Tough locations are not problem. Very infrequently level at about a 3 foot circumference to pin. Has to be hindrance to inexperienced players. Good putts rolling 3 or 4 feet at the cup ????. Can I be only player that notices this
Overpriced, sloooow pace.
Made Friday a weekend, no senior discounts on “weekends”. Must have been sending out golfers every 5 mins, over 5 hours for 18.
Pace of play was really bad.
Our tee time was 8:33 but there were several foursomes in front of us playing in a competition. It took over 4 hours forty minutes with us skipping a hole (we had 2 foursomes waiting for the group in front of us to finish.) There was nearly 2 open holes in front of this group. We asked the ranger about them and he said he's told them 4 times to pick up their pace but they refused since they were in a competition! -- he didn't call the pro shop for help. I discussed with the assistant pro after the round and he was very apologetic and said the ranger should have called in. He said if it happens again we should call the pro shop.

Weekday golf
I played this past Monday and found the course to be in excellent shape, challenging and fun to play.
Would recommend it to players of all skills.
It was somewhat slow but still played in 4 hours.
The Oak
This is one of my favorite courses. You meet a variety of people. They just come out to play and enjoy the course.
Greens n good shape
Greens rolling true not many ball marks.
Some pin placements unfair.
Slow
Packing them in. Almost 5 hour round. Prices are up, no senior discount on Fridays anymore and the pace is very slow. Nice course, well kept but I’d have a hard time recommending to friends.

Pace Of Play
It took 5 hours to play because two foursomes who were playing some sort of match backed up the course. At one point, There were four foursomes jammed together.
The Ranger was not helpful. He did talk to the two groups, but they ignored him. The greens fees were high and we definitely did not get our money's worth.
I will not play this course again.

Oakbrook golf club
Good golf course in good shape with tough greens and good challenging holes some with water on either side. Teeing off in most holes reasonable and in some trees can get in the way. Rough often creates issues due to height and sand traps normal for average course. Pace play could be improved and staff overall does a very job.
Overall pricing very reasonable especially for retirees. I would recommend course I play often and find the people very friendly.
