Oak Brook Golf Club

Oak Brook is an excellent course - always kept very nice - nice greens and tees. Cart paths well maintained. Staff is friendly and will work with you giving you an enjoyable outing.

This was my First time playing at Oak Brook Golf Club, all I can say is great people, great vibes and great service.

The course is challenging but fair. It is great conditions. Nice people!!

We play almost every Friday around 8:30 a.m. (foursome here for over 10 years) — the course is geographically perfect for our group. The scorecard lists a 4:20 pace, which is reasonable.

But lately the club has been allowing league groups to go out ahead of regular tee times. This past Friday it was three league foursomes right before us. When checking in, I asked whether the leagues are expected to maintain pace and whether it would be enforced. I was told yes, and that the ranger would keep things moving.

That didn’t happen. Our round ran more than 30 minutes longer, and we never saw a ranger once.

After the round I spoke with the head pro/manager Rob M. He confirmed leagues are expected to keep pace. Not only were we inconvenienced but every group behind us was also. His attitude was the disappointing part — somewhere between indifferent and condescending. His response included “deal with it” and “we’ll try harder.”

Hi, I really held back from posting a review but I had a bad taste in my mouth from the experience we had at Oakbrook Golf course.

I hate to start of with saying with I dealt with the stigma of a Karen but funny enough the person I first encountered in the pro shop was a women named Karen, unfortunately she was very unpleasant and dry and could tell she was annoyed with how busy the course was that day…

After dealing with her she didn’t even ask us if we knew where to go.

Next what really made things worse after the pace of play was already starting our tee time late because they allowed a wedding group of 16 people golf together without keeping them at a minimum pace of play per hole.

To add the cherry on top, I walked in to voice my concerns in the pro shop and “Rob” was enjoying his lunch behind the desk and the other employee looked absolutely thrilled to be there as well.

Rob proceeded to finish his bite and wipe his hands and tried to hear my concerns with food in his teeth. He seemed to be surprised when telling him everything that went wrong and proceeded with “oh im so sorry, i hope you give it another chance. I don’t think i would like to come back after spending 300-350 total for my day at Oakbrook.

Friendly Staff. Has Range & Putting practise green. Pace was great.

Oak Brook GC is great, but it gets backed up quickly. We went around a group and there was absolutely no one in front of us.

Waiting 3-5 minutes to take every tee and approach shot. No slow players, just course jammed full. Course is nice and in good shape.

Took my son here to play on his 21st birthday. He picked the course. Got greens fee thru Golfnow, got the hotdeal of day. Paired up with 2 older guys that were great to play with. Course while not the longest required some thinking whether or not to go for it with driver or lay up and still come out fine. Plenty of water in strategically places. Greens were consistent, well kept, bunkers were all in great shape. Pace of play was great, started at 1, done at 5:05, only waited on maybe 4 shots whole round.

Oak brook is always a fun round of golf. Well maintained with a great half way house. Always a pleasure to play!

Plush fairways, everything was so green and well cut. Very nice course. Challenging. Had a twosome in front of us that was extremely slow but overall it was a great day of golf.
