This course has a traditional feel, front nine is tight and tree lined fairways. Back nine is a little more open, and the finishing holes are tough, and long.
I believe the three finishing holes were played during a Western Open, when Butler had some flooding issues with a few of their holes. Okay
Nice course in very good condition
OB is a nice layout in very good condition. Some of the flags on the greens were on “spines”, so it made for some challenging putts, but the greens roll true. The cafe is nice, with several nice draft beers and a good menu. Pro shop and golf course staff friendly and efficient.
Good early season round.
Course was a little wet and greens not up to par yet but ok for early season. First tee was crowded and we teed of about 10 minutes past our tee time. Front nine was about two hours, back nine took two and a half hours. Overall a decent day.
just a very busy warm spring day so over 5 hours on the course
Swamp Golf at it's best!
All courses in the area have been taking a lot of rain lately. I've walked several courses and Oakbrook although wet, it was in the best condition. We got a senior rate and 3 of us walked 18 holes so even though conditions weren't optimal we felt it was a good value. Also the from desk and cafe people were very accommodating. We enjoyed the day!
March season golf
Overall, considering the time of year and the recent rain, the course was in good shape. Compared to the summer however, the course was in post-winter shape. I hope to see more yardage markers on the fairways as the weather warms up. Thank you.
Fun time in March.
Course was in good condition for early spring golf round. Pace was ok given the number people trying to play this early in the season. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable day at the course
Very slow pace of play
Walking course - would discourage renting a cart, especially during wet conditions (CPO). Pace of play was slow, but early in the season. Bar and food service is great. Overall, great course.
