Great value
Always nice, always a bit awkward walking to 10th tee box around groups of wedding people but not the first time there so I knew that going in that it could happen. Practice green is right next to ceremony location . I just started without much putting due to that possibility.
Nice course
Played here on a Sunday afternoon with my son. They started us on the back nine, but the pace of play was great. Course was in really good shape. Greens were good, fairways were great and most of the tee boxes were good. A lot of water, so you had to be careful off the tees, but it made for an enjoyable day. We finished our round in about 3 1/2 hours. The course is a par 70 and only had 2 par 5's unless you were playing off the blue tees. I will play there again when I get back to Indy.
Great fun and very well maintained.
Not a tough course but it does have many challenges with the trees and water. Several greens with small approach.
Nice day for golf
Staff and course were excellence but all the Sunday drivers were ahead of us long day
Will be back
Old golf course, short walk from tee to tee. Fairways are beautiful and wide enough for average golfer. The Greens roll perfect with lots of slope. Highly recommended we really enjoyed this course.
Pleasantly surprised
was not expecting much for a course in the city in the middle of so many homes - wish i had played here sooner - very happy - will definitely go back
Best bang for buck
Hadn't played Valle Vista in quite some time. Had almost forgotten what a great course this is!
We got to play for an insanely low rate thanks to GolfNow and so the value to stroke ratio was asinine.
This is a beautiful course that is obviously cared for and well-groomed. Good job to the grounds crew. Keep up the great work.
Hard to believe this course exist right in the middle of Greenwood, Indiana.
On your way to the course or on your way home make sure you stop at Coffeehouse Five, right in the middle of Old Town Greenwood across the street from the dog & Suds and get a nitrogen infused cold filtered coffee that's on tap there.
Great golf, great coffee, great day!!!!!
great staff and service
able to play at are groups little slower pace with the heat.
Bring your A driver
Every time I finish playing at Valle Vista golf course - I wonder why I don't play it more often. Greens are great. They aren't good. They're great. The rough hands out just enough of a penelty and the bunkers were raked perfectly yesterday.
Just remember the title of this review. You must drive the ball straight. There is OB on almost every hole. If your driver is on your score will reflect it.
I'm a fan!
Must Play Course
Absolutely love this Course. look forward to going back.
Decent 70s-Style Course
The course is in decent shape, but not great. Many tees have chewed patches, as do several fringes. The low part of the course (holes 6-8) have predictable patchy damage from where water would've puddled during the recent rain.
But overall for this level of course it's not a bad layout with mature trees ready to catch stray drives, and some water here and there that is in play. Lots of the holes go back and forth, but there is some character and elevation change along the way. Some of the greens have some tilt, though there are several that are fairly flat. It does meander through a neighborhood too, and the houses and even businesses do get pretty close at times. Nice service from the staff both inside and out as well, where they greet you with a cart as you park and are fairly easy going inside. The clubhouse could use a renovation as it still shows 1970s style, especially in the locker room.
The course is better than Smock in that same area in my opinion, and this course can be rather cheap via the usual discount websites. It's a decent course overall, especially for that value if you get it.
Valley Vista
Typical course routing through houses and condo's. Only issue we had was lack of sand in any of the traps.
