Madison

This course layout is very open. There isn’t a bunch of hills or water in every direction which is sometimes a good switch up. My dad who has played all over Central Illinois said that he will definitely be coming back to this course and I say the same. The staff was extremely nice and they all had masks on to comply with COVID-19 safety which is awesome. All around great place to golf!

Historic Gem

Peoria is lucky to have an early Tom Bendelow design as a muni. Although the course is flat and relatively hazard free, it has some great intricacies that anyone with an appreciation for course architecture can appreciate. For example, on #2 there is a bunker shaved into a raised green! Although it is an easier course, there are still plenty of dog legs that allow you to take some risk/reward type shots and a few tee shots where you cannot see fairway bunkers up around the green. The course was in great shape despite having been drenched the last few days. For the condition it is currently, it is one of the best values in Peoria.
