Extremely slow
I guess that Monday was officially a holiday so the price on Golf Now was not correct. It was very busy with a lot of once a year hackers so it was very slow. Close to three hours for the front nine. No water available on the course and no beverage cart. Since it was 90 degrees, made it hard to go 18 holes.
Ironhorse is in the best shape ever. The greens are immaculate.
Nice links course
Nice course. Course in decent shape for early spring. Pace of play was very bad. Took
four hrs. and 15 min. to play 18 holes, unacceptable.
Great buy
Nice course about 40 miles away. Course was in good shape, but greens were aerated so putting was iffy. All in all a great price, good course, great day, and friendly staff!
Dano
Course was in great shape and the staff were friendly
Dano
A real gem right here in Central Illinois. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great groundskeeper
Great Public Track
This course is great for the beginner golfer and even the seasoned vet. For a central Illinois course it has a lot of hills and very cool unique holes. The price is great too and on Mondays its $18! Overall great course and I will continue to come back and play it.
First round here in 15 years
I used to play this course when I was in high school and moved away from the area. This is the first time I have played the course in 15ish years. The course was in pretty good shape despite the two days prior dumping a ton of rain. The bunkers were unplayable due to COVID-19 state regulations. Greens were true, and only one green was hit hard with unfixed ball marks. Pace of play for the front 9 was absolutely terrible. I was in a group of 4 having to wait on a group of 2 of the worst golfers on the planet. They had no etiquette to let us play through, and there was not a Marshal to speed them up. The back 9 we could play at our pace. Important to keep it straight because it is links style and the tall grass will get you. Otherwise, it was a great round, and I'll play again when I'm back in the area.
Fun course
Tees and greens in good shape. Easy course with some challenging spots. Don’t get too far off the fairway or you’ll lose you ball.
Great Value Spot
They have incredible deals on Mondays. Unfortunately I got caught behind some 4somes on the back 9 but they still moved song nicely. Excellent distances for a mediocre golfer and a truly beautiful layout.
Iron horse
Great value for the money. Course is in great shape besides the bunkers and cart paths!
Recycling
This course is unique because they use treated waste water to irrigate the greens and fairway
Great Day of golf!
Course was a little soggy in places. 90* rule in effect.
Fairways and greens were absolutely great! There were a few tee blocks that were not in the best shape, but there was p0lenty of grass available to tee it up. On less challenging courses that are flatter I usually shoot in the mid to upper 86- 92. Today even in these conditions I shot 81. Will definitely make it back up to try Ironhorse again!
