Signing up on line was terrible. No one to take your call. $30 to play nine holes way too expensive. Plus they change you for signing up $4.00.
Memorial Day Golf
It was a decent course. It was jammed packed so pace was slow but the course conditions were good.
The pins were located in difficult positions making it challenging but overall a good place to place.
A Little Overpriced
I'll preface by saying it's an enjoyable course, but the cart fee is a bit ridiculous. 9 holes with a cart at this course is a comparable price to the 9-hole rates of the premier courses of the area.
They do a nice job of maximizing the plot of land. It's a fun mix of par 3s and short par 4s. Bunker placement and natural areas do their best to make up for the short course length. The course is in decent shape, with soft fairways and greens rolling true. I'd say the golfers here do a poor job of repairing divots and pitch marks.
Overall, it's one of the better places around to play a laid-back 9-holes, but the cart fee compels me to just look elsewhere.
A convenient course
The course is a solid par 3, prices have gone up a little bit since last time which makes it a little tougher to love, but understandable.
Golf
Over priced and there was a group of 8 who kept hitting into us so we let them play through us.
Slow play fixed by courtesy
I played behind a slow twosome but they let me play through and I finished quickly. Course is in good shape.
Fast thanks to foursome
Went out behind a slow foursome but they had me play through on the second hole. Finished in about an hour which is how it should be. Fast greens. Course is tough if you aren't playing well...as it should be.
Great Shape in late Oct
By this time, many courses are beat up or even closed. But Sugar Creek remains stellar. Great upkeep throughout the year and improvements ongoing. I tried this course once out of convenience, but now play regularly.
