Village Greens of Woodridge

This past winter they sent me an offer for a 2 year membership. $500 FOR "UNLIMITED GREENS FEES" Sounds like an amazing deal right? Well there are limitations. You still pay $18 if your riding and a bit less if your walking. So greens fees are not fully paid for. Then you can't book more three days and can only choose tee times after 11am on the weekends. But they book up so fast, and non members can book before members can! Membership should have its priveledges. In this case it does not. I am ashamed I fell for this. I've been trying to book a time for the last two weeks with no luck. I'm feeling scammed. Don't fall for their membership plan. It's a bad deal.

The course itself is just OK. If you're a player that takes a divot, good luck to you. The ground is so dense the it stops the club before you can take a Clean divot. Greens are ok and a bit slow. Pace of place is awful. Expect minimum 5 hour round on the weekend.

We started late and the round took 4:44 mins. When asked about the slow place of place they said “there’s no ranger it’s Sunday it’s gonna be backed up” which essential meant “we’re not gonna do anything about it” and it showed. There were also some crater size divots on some greens on the back I wish I got a picture of.

Played 18 front nine completed in 1.5 hours back nine was a lot of waiting took 2.5hours. Tee bikes were in bad shape. Greens had a lot of ball marks and bare spots had a morning tee time.

Felt like we got taken advantage of with their “membership”. While price was $89 for per year for two years (paid upfront) for unlimited” rounds is crazy low, despite checking as soon as absolutely possible we have not been able to get tee times. They made it seem like it was a great deal but can’t get out. Limitations to book three days out than their sign up process doesn’t work well make it practically impossible to get tee times. When you find a time, you have to enter other info on the website, by that time the tee time is no longer available.

Played this course many times over the past years, until 2020. Then, last spring they offered a special deal $89 a year for unlimited golf (You had to sign up for 2yrs). Seemed like a great deal except they over sold the number of memberships. Getting a tee time was next to impossible.Called and tried to get my money back and was forwarded to Prince , one of the mangers, left a voice mail but never received a call back. Finally, on 12/04/2020 was able a get a tee time for 2:45 pm. The course was very crowed,, tee boxes were decimated., no tee markers. As dusk was fast approaching, finally was able to complete the round (9 holes). Next day the course closed for the season despite fairly good weather predicted for the next week.

Listing was for 18 holes with cart - at the course was told only allowed to play 9 holes on Monday and Tuesday. The Tee Time deal went from great price to rip-off.

Nice to get in a Fall round. Course was wet, so no carts; but, got my steps in, so it's all good, Course was a little shaggy, since they hadn't been able to mow, but considering the time of year it was fine. Staff is always friendly and amenities are adequate. I play this course quite a bit and appreciate the efforts they are making to keep the course in good shape and look forward to their future bunker renovations. I'll be back.

Hackers everywhere. We quit 2 hrs into our round after finishing the 6th hole. I’m a single digit my son is a 13. They paired us with 2 65 year old ladies that couldn’t hit the ball more than 20 yards.

Course was in terrible shape. Fairways and greens browned out. Pace of play was fine but ranger was a jerk. He told us to pick up our pace on the 13th hole because we were a hole behind the group in front of us even though we were 15 minutes ahead of pace and 1.5 holes in front of the group behind us. When I pointed this out to him, he didn’t care and insisted we hurry up. Stay away. Not worth it at any price.

Played on a windy October Saturday, course was nearly empty. No starters, no rangers due to the low number of players. Expect that will be status quo until they close for winter. Friendly staff and friendly golfers.

Great course for the beginner to intermediate, but not challenging enough if you play in the 70's.

Course is in reasonable shape, but it was walking only due to recent rains. It made for a leisurely 5 hours of play. Geese are inhabiting large areas of the course, so watch your step.

It was really busy. We were behind a few groups of 4 and many walking, each seemed to take their sweet time.

Took 5 hours to play 18. It was still way fun. Fairways aren't way wide but not to narrow either. Greens are HUGE so its nice to get on to. A bunch of bunkers to go over (or into), and a couple ponds to go over. Its a fun course, i'd like to try it again when not so busy.

I was first on the course, and saw them cutting the greens. The greens were very good. However, the tees and fairways were very shaggy. Now, we've had a lot of rain but it didn't seem that the tees have been mowed in a while.
