What a dump
Course was in terrible shape. Fairways and greens browned out. Pace of play was fine but ranger was a jerk. He told us to pick up our pace on the 13th hole because we were a hole behind the group in front of us even though we were 15 minutes ahead of pace and 1.5 holes in front of the group behind us. When I pointed this out to him, he didn’t care and insisted we hurry up. Stay away. Not worth it at any price.
Entering fall season
Played on a windy October Saturday, course was nearly empty. No starters, no rangers due to the low number of players. Expect that will be status quo until they close for winter. Friendly staff and friendly golfers.
Great course for the beginner to intermediate, but not challenging enough if you play in the 70's.
Course is in reasonable shape, but it was walking only due to recent rains. It made for a leisurely 5 hours of play. Geese are inhabiting large areas of the course, so watch your step.
Only complaint is Pace of Play
It was really busy. We were behind a few groups of 4 and many walking, each seemed to take their sweet time.
Took 5 hours to play 18. It was still way fun. Fairways aren't way wide but not to narrow either. Greens are HUGE so its nice to get on to. A bunch of bunkers to go over (or into), and a couple ponds to go over. Its a fun course, i'd like to try it again when not so busy.
Hi u314159535558, thank you for your 5-star review! Please book another round with us soon at Village Greens of Woodridge.
Shaggy Course
I was first on the course, and saw them cutting the greens. The greens were very good. However, the tees and fairways were very shaggy. Now, we've had a lot of rain but it didn't seem that the tees have been mowed in a while.

Very good, no complaints, would happily play this course now
Course is much much improved. Some fairways have small small patches of thicker grass. But, by in large, 99% of course is in great shape. NO complaints at all. Feels like there wasn't ever an issue with fungus. I would happily play this course anytime. I also paid under $20 for 18 w/cart so, super great deal. I will definitely plan on playing again very soon. Course is doing a lot of hard work and it's definitely paying off. Thanks Village Greens of Woodridge for putting in all the work to offer a great course! Huge compliments for the investment/work.
Thanks for leaving us a review, we're glad to hear our hard work isn't going unnoticed! We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Hitting from the rough
Tee boxes=rough, fairways=rough, rough=4" rough, greens=rough. Great value and very professional staff trying to overcome a poorly maintained course. Fingers crossed for next season! I'll be back because of the staff.
We appreciate you leaving us a review, we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Not recommended
The fairways were infested last year and this year they have not recovered. Fairways were like the length of normal rough. Sand traps had no sand in them and they will filled with water and the course made no effort to drain them. The greens were not in much better shape than the fairways. Avoid this course. It’s a shame because the layout is nice but the conditions are almost unplayable.
We appreciate you leaving us a review, and we're sorry to hear you feel that way. We're working hard to keep the course in good condition, and we hope you'll book another round with us soon to see the progress firsthand!

Terrible conditions
Can’t tell the difference between the fairway and the rough here. For $40 a round they should be able to buy lawnmowers with adjustable blades. Also the starters are very disrespectful. Made us skip several holes so the “better players” wouldn’t have to wait. Sorry I didn’t know this was Augusta national.
Good municipal course and excellent value, you can afford to play 2 to 3 rounds a week and you wont break the bank.
Course is in average condition, mostly due to obvious effects of very wet spring. Greens in good shape. Ruff could use mowing to promote ability to locate ball more easily and keep pace of play.
Thanks for leaving us a review, GFox. We hope you'll book another round with us soon!
Disappointed in what used to be a fun course
This course can be fun and the back nine is scenic but right now it is in terrible condition. It’s probably due to the amount of rain we’ve had recently. The lack of a ranger was problematic because we had three youngsters (walkers) in front of us who did not understand golf etiquette and they had a fivesome in front of them. Needless to say I will not be returning soon .
Poor Amenities
I wish they would knock down that cafeteria, and build a real bar area. I end up going next door to grab a beer after l play.
This would pay for itself in time.
A net on both sides of the parking lot would also, be good. ...my car was hit by golf balls twice.
We appreciate the suggestions, and thanks for taking time to leave us a review. We hope to see you again soon!

Very playable course conditions
The cautions in the course description are rather unsettling, but the course is ~90% recovered and is very playable. Only a few areas of a few.fairways are affected.
Outstanding value on a hot deal rate, but not such a value at the non-discounted $40 rate that was posted on our day of play.
The course is straightforward, the fairways wide, greens large and simple so a mid to high handicapper can thoroughly enjoy the course.
It won't challenge a single digit handicapper, but it's a great property for the average golfer.
We're glad to see you enjoyed your time at Village Greens, thanks for taking time to leave us a review! Be sure to book another round with us soon.
