Nothing special.
Course was very crowded at about noon on a weekday with groups teeing off just as soon as players ahead were out of range. Our round took just a little less than five hours. Carts were noisy and not GPS enabled as advertised and there were no clear distance markings on the course so club selection was always a guess. Course was in fair condition and is not worth the published rates, especially if you are a "non resident".
False Ad
The Ad on GolfNow indicates cart & GPS included but there was NO GPS in any cart.
Course was nice except the marshall had to start us in back 9 on hole 16. Place was crowded for a Tuesday afternoon ouring because they have company tournament going on.
good value tough greens
great value nice mix of holes not long but greens are fast and firm but will hold a good shot, well maintained only bad thing was players not fixing their ball marks will definetly come back !
Solid affordable suburb course
Course was well maintained and the price was right. Good example of a well maintained and well designed course charging accessible prices. No one is going to be blown away, but you won't go home disappointed.
the course was in nice condition
Nice place to golf, Staff was very friendly and the course is a great place to golf for the average golfer.
Great value. Very friendly staff.
Course was in great condition. Good mix of challenging holes while not being to difficult for the average golfer. Staff seems very interested in making sure you have a good time on your visit to the golf course.
No ranger making slow people move.
Think they got excited about the nice weather and overbooked the nonsense out of it. Slow as all balls. Course is OKAY at best. Not worth over 25 bucks though IMO.
Hard to review this course right now
Since we have had a lot of rain over the past week holes 14 and 15 are flooded and you can not play them. Although I played early in the morning, following another night of rain, the drainage on the course seemed to be doing alright and the only majorly affected holes were 14 and 15. With the rainfall it make it really hard to review the whole course at this time. I will be back however because I've played here before and, although somewhat basic, I do love the layout for a Chicago suburb course.
Course not quite ready for Spring play
You can usually find good rates at Village Greens. I played for free through the Birthday Club so I can't be too critical. The course was actually in decent shape considering that it is the first week it has been opened for play. Negatives: the bunkers need sand, the bunkers had no rakes, and no ball washers yet on the course (considering some places were muddy this was annoying), no beverage/food service. The pro shop staff is always friendly and accommodating, no other staff was around.
great value
12/03/12--Yeah u read it right. DECEMBER '12
rakes put away for the winter, yet bunkers in great shape, means regulars are a class act group of golfers. These nice folks at VG are among the best managers of our games i've recently encountered. Abt 6700 quality yards of golf for very few $$$$'s, try it you'll return XXX times
Pro is very accomodating
Course itself is so-so, but the pro goes out of his way to keep people happy.
Nice course at a great price
I went on the day before Thanksgiving and was surprised at how busy it was. But despite that play wasn't that slow and the course was in pretty decent shape.
For this time of the year the course was ok.
For this time of the year the course was in ok condition. We have golfed this course in the past during July and it is normally in excellent condition. In my opnion this course is a good course to use during the winter season.
Course greens and fairways needed some up keep.
Overall course was fun to play, I do understand about course conditions this late in the year not all way in good shape in terms of fairways and greens but greens were in bad condition. However, the price for green fees were great!!!
Great course to play now(Nov.) clean and the greens were smooth.
Great value, no leaves, the greens were smooth without ballmarks. Traps had been groomed. Very nice Fall golf.
Great value!
Excellent course for the money! Good distance, well maintained & friendly staff. Good pace of play and greens still in good condition.
For public course maintained very well
Greens were a little slow but very well maintained.
Surprisingly course was in very good condition (Other than bunkers - had water after rains). Got a good rate for Fall season. Greens were excellent.
This is an average public course, you get that feeling walking around, and looking at the facility. So don't expect more than that. I was happy to play here, since I got a good rate, and was able to get out in mid-october (mid 60s).
I would not particularly pick this course for a golf outing -more of a I wanna got out and play golf (even alone), and need a decent course at a good rate).
GReat Value
WE played yesterday, mid 50's sunny. Course was in great shape, fast greens and rough slightly thick but very playable. Great day!!
Golf now could not be a better site.
