Village Greens of Woodridge

Since we have had a lot of rain over the past week holes 14 and 15 are flooded and you can not play them. Although I played early in the morning, following another night of rain, the drainage on the course seemed to be doing alright and the only majorly affected holes were 14 and 15. With the rainfall it make it really hard to review the whole course at this time. I will be back however because I've played here before and, although somewhat basic, I do love the layout for a Chicago suburb course.

You can usually find good rates at Village Greens. I played for free through the Birthday Club so I can't be too critical. The course was actually in decent shape considering that it is the first week it has been opened for play. Negatives: the bunkers need sand, the bunkers had no rakes, and no ball washers yet on the course (considering some places were muddy this was annoying), no beverage/food service. The pro shop staff is always friendly and accommodating, no other staff was around.

rakes put away for the winter, yet bunkers in great shape, means regulars are a class act group of golfers. These nice folks at VG are among the best managers of our games i've recently encountered. Abt 6700 quality yards of golf for very few $$$$'s, try it you'll return XXX times

Course itself is so-so, but the pro goes out of his way to keep people happy.

I went on the day before Thanksgiving and was surprised at how busy it was. But despite that play wasn't that slow and the course was in pretty decent shape.

For this time of the year the course was in ok condition. We have golfed this course in the past during July and it is normally in excellent condition. In my opnion this course is a good course to use during the winter season.

Overall course was fun to play, I do understand about course conditions this late in the year not all way in good shape in terms of fairways and greens but greens were in bad condition. However, the price for green fees were great!!!

Great value, no leaves, the greens were smooth without ballmarks. Traps had been groomed. Very nice Fall golf.

Greens were a little slow but very well maintained.

This is an average public course, you get that feeling walking around, and looking at the facility. So don't expect more than that. I was happy to play here, since I got a good rate, and was able to get out in mid-october (mid 60s).
I would not particularly pick this course for a golf outing -more of a I wanna got out and play golf (even alone), and need a decent course at a good rate).

WE played yesterday, mid 50's sunny. Course was in great shape, fast greens and rough slightly thick but very playable. Great day!!
Golf now could not be a better site.

This is a great course for the money. Not too challenging, but some water and bunkers do come into play. A couple par five's that you can take advantage of for birdie. I will play this course a lot more next season.

Friendly reception, Nice golf course!.....It's windy day, hard to review ....some hole is easy...and some hole is hard.

Tee boxes chewed up, non fixed ball marks all over 12 greens. I say 12 because they over booked. Shot 1-9, at turn I was sent to play 16-18 and then back to 1. 10-14 are the best holes there. This course will never see another dime from me.

It's no Augusta National but for the price it's worth playing.

6300 yrs from the whites makes it a good size and there are some challenging holes. Pace is usually pretty decent.

Good course that has 4 sets of tees. It also has tees to "Play it forward" for beginers 150 yds and less.
There special rates are unbelieveable 4 for 40 at 4pm
I play this course 10 times a year and still enjoy it.

We bought a 18 hole rate and we showed up and the course told us we had only booked 9 holes. The course would not budge and had a bad attitude. I ended up calling Golfnow and they tried to fight on our behalf, but when the course wouldn't listen Golf Now refunded half my money. It was only a good value because Golf Now refunded half the money. Golf Now was very helpful, but I will never buy a tee time at this course again.
