Good Course
Nice course, well kept. Had a great time playing here.
A good value with the discount.
Having yardage books for FREE is a nice touch for those who are not regulars.
Need course marshals to speed up play...greens had way too many ball marks
Got stuck behind four really bad golfers who did not consider that they were at least 3 holes behind and took excessive time to analyze shots. They did not allow for play through.
A fun and challenging golf course - use an extra club for those hills!
Village Greens in Woodridge, IL is a really nice golf course. It is well maintained and very challenging since it is a hilly course. The putting greens were a little long the day we played and needed to be rolled so it was a little tough putting - but still a very nice course. Be sure to use an extra club because the uphill venue on this course requires it! I play this course a couple of times a summer because I like the challenge.
moderately challenging course in good condition
The front nine is straight forward except one dogleg. The back nine is more challenging. The greens are in very good condition.
Definitely will replay.
I thought the overall value was excellent, especially with the deal thru Golfnow.
The course was in pretty good shape overall…the fairways, sand traps and condition of rough was very good but the greens were average at best, the speed and grass condition was fine but way too many divots. The staff was very friendly.
Better Than Expected
Layout of the courses wasn't too challenging, but was not boring at all. Fairways were pretty well maintained, greens were very inconsistent though. Some holes greens were moving very fast, other greens moved really slow. Also, numerous ball marks left unrepaired on the green. Our group was playing a little slow so we were kindly asked by a marshal to pick up the pace a little - no problem. When we made the turn onto the back 9 we got caught behind a very slow moving group of four, and no ranger came out and asked them to pick it up. Ended up waiting at least 5 minutes on the tee box and when in the fairway. Overall though other than playing a 5 1/2hr round I enjoyed my experience.
a great test of golf skills
the course has a great layout, with doglegs in both directions, great par 3's,fast greens and a great par 5 finishing hole.
Great course. For the price you can't beat it
Had a good time, while being nicely greeted by staff .
Good course
I have played this course a number of times due to its location to where I live and the good internet prices. I like that it is not a flat course and I can walk without issue.
Really nice course. Great value for the money!
Teed off at 12:30 and finished before 5:00. Moved right along. The course was in great shape as well.
course is will maintained.
I liked the course but the players ahead of us were very
slow and somewhat playing "around" playing golf. No ranger
to be found enforcing the playing time.
Good Experience
In town for the holiday. Course was very well kept and greens were in perfect condition. It has been my experience that everyone in the "city" likes to play really fast....not sure what is enjoyable about this but if you like a quick round of golf, this is a course for it.
GolfNow hot deal
Great price on the Hot Deal from GolfNow.com
Course was in decent condition, but greens need some work. I just wish folks would fix their ball marks and divots.
Course is ok
The course was tolerable today. Usually the fairway by the water is polluted with goose droppings and it's very disgusting. Today there was just feathers. The sand traps are a little compact but to their defense it has been raining for a few days. The tee box was very compact and littered with broken tees it was hard to drive a tee in the ground. Although the grass on the fairway is well kept, the rest of the course requires attention.
nice course
Great course, friendly staff, good rate, nice and challenging layoput.
Course was in nice shape/Wear a hard hat
Had not played Village Greens in almost 25 years. Course was well maintained with good speed on greens. Traps need some TLC....most were hard pan. A nice surprise that the round only took 4 hrs....but would have been a 5 hour plus round had the group in front of us not stopped for lunch at the turn. Holes are very close together and you should consider a hard hat. Almost got hit by a golf ball putting on the 18th green. Also park your car in the middle of the parking lot. as close to the clubhouse if you can....Holes 9 and 10 are right in the line of fire if someone hooks their drive.....lots of newbie golfers play this course and several of them should be at Zigfield Troy Par 3 down the street rather than this course....Village Greens is a decent golf course just dated however it's worth considering once a year when not crowded.
Great value! Course was busy but pace was not bad.
I will continue to use golf now we have played more courses in the past two years and have played them several times at at great value. This course we have played about six times and has always been a good time!
Great condition.
Great green condition. I want to play here again. I'm coming back next week I hope.
Very busy, pace of play slow, but fun to play. Staff was definitely customer oriented.
Fairways were pristine! Greens just a little bumpy (spiked up from so much play), but otherwise good speed and rolled true. Generally a forgiving course - most of the fairways were fair width. Rough was brutally high, but that was due to excessive rain and little opportunity to mow. I will definitely play again. Very convenient location and staff was definitely focused on the customer experience.
