Course was in great shape!
I went ahead of my Tee time set for 1:10. Obviously, allowed at front desk. I had booked as a single. Got paired with 3 different people for 1:10. Needless to say I teed off at 1pm. Played 9 in 1 1/2 hours and then got slowed down at hole 12. Still finished in just over 3 1/2 hours. Course was in great shape!
Very relaxed
It had been a tradition to play Saddlebrook the day of the Indy 500. Took the family to play this year and we had a great time.
I am glad I had a range finder as the carts did not have GPS. The staff were incredibly friendly.
Not a bad place for the $50 price point. For the round per player.
This course has a very disrespectful ranger
I booked to play 9 holes on 5/12 in the afternoon and decided to play back 9. When I signed in, the attendant didn’t warn me of any upcoming competition, and said I was good to go. As I was playing, the Ranger disrespectfully asked me to leave because there was a league going on and said I was disturbing the peace. I had no idea there was a league because the staff didn’t say anything m. The Ranger had the audacity to tell me that I had to know. Wouldn’t recommend this course until they get competent staff and a respectful ranger
Good deal
Always enjoy playing this layout- combo of open & tight shot-making holes.
Good deal
Pleasantly surprised
Took a dart throw, as it’s the beginning of the season, there’s no telling how any course starts the season. It was cold, 40degrees. Tee’ed off at 7:20. I was surprised how much attention the course was getting this early in the year, and early in the day. Dragging the bunkers. Weeds were scarce. The course is thrown in the middle of a residential area, so I didn’t know what to expect. The architecture and layout was impressive. Still provided good elevation changes, water, and manicured bunkers. For this price, the value stands out. This maybe my home course for the summer. Great value and great times. Ground keepers were very observant, and extremely polite. Mr. O in the pro shop made me return after the round and loading the clubs just to throw him a tip for the accommodations. I will definitely be playing this course. ALOT
Ranger?
Anytime I see a group of 6 on three carts, with 2 people playing out of one bag on a fairly busy day…..what can you say?
First time for my daughter
My daughter recently started dating a golfer so I gotr her some clubs and took out for nine. Good time had by all and even saw an eagle get a fish out of a pond while waiting on a tee.
Course condition
For being the last day of March, the course was in wonderful condition.
Fun course to work on your game
I play Saddlebrook a couple times every season and it never disappoints. Great bang for your buck, where the course isn’t too difficult, and greens keepers do not try and make it overly difficult with gimmicky tricks. Staff always extremely friendly, and the pace of play is always good. I like coming out here early in season and working on the game a little bit before hitting longer, more difficult courses. Looking for a fairly priced course to have some fun, where things won’t be too uptight, then Saddlebrook is your spot
Early Spring
Horses usually in decent shape greens were really good shape. It was early spring, so it still showed signs of dimming from aeration and hadn’t been mowed and rolled many times yet. Good for the time of the year it was.
Great Course, Great Price
I was surprised at how good of condition the course was in being so early in the year. Green were a bit slow, although expected. Fair amount of goose droppings pretty much everywhere. But overall, great shape for this time of year. Tyler at the counter was super nice, too.
Great course layout was nice, greens in great shape
Liked it first time playing it, the management was extremely c professional and courteous, will play it again for sure!
Terribly maintained
This course is the equivalent of playing golf in Gaza. If you don’t hit the fair way You will bounce 50 yards away. Needs sprinklers and maintenance workers. Will not be back
