Great course!
Perfect day for golf. Course was in excellent condition from tee to green!
Hype aggressive staff with anger management issues
Verbally harassed and physically threatened by off duty ranger while playing on course. Will never go back if this is how they allow their staff to .
Awesome Place to play!
Started playing this coarse over 50 years ago and have never had a bad experience other than my score! I can afford to play any coarse open to the public around the world! Luckily I live close to this coarse and is my go to coarse with family or playing with multi million dollar customer! Over 50 years and it has never disappointed! When I went into service out of High School the Pro Jan told me to pick any set of clubs and he'd help me get them to take with me! I picked full set of Ben Hogans and bag and took them with me that day! So my whole adult life it has been my go to place and never disappointed!
Better than expected
Have played other courses recently that have been in rough shape due to the lack of rain.
These guys are doing amazing work to keep the course in excellent condition.
Customer service was top tier also.
Amazing shape
We all know the rain and heat has been a challenge to every course in central Indiana this year . Smock is in the best shape of any course around and have played all over the state this year. I would highly recommend it to anyone . It’s a fair yet challenging course that’s very enjoyable.
Value for money
This is a good value course for the price. The greens are a little beat up, but I think that is from the amount of amateur golfers that play this course and do not repair their pitch marks. The pace of play is always an issue because of the amount of low handicappers who play there. Overall I like the course.
Truly a good value for 18 holes
While this course has some mud in places after a week of rain, it is well managed. The foot print of the course looks cramped, but never felt that way on my play through. Overall I felt like, “ I am really enjoying shorting a bad game here.” Even if my score was not good I enjoyed the entire day playing at Smock.
Great terrain and fast greens
Lots of up and down fairways. The greens are very hard and quick. I really enjoyed the course! Very pretty.
Too slow
Players ahead of us were too slow. I feel that course needs to emphasize pace of play. Rangers need to make sure pace is enforced. Or, notify players to let faster players go and not make them wait. Nice course.
Oversold - horrible pace of play - didn't finish
Smock is a great course, but it was horribly oversold. I started at 1:30 PM and gave up on trying to finish with 2 holes remaining. You can't stack 6 or 7 consecutive foursomes on a Fall afternoon and expect anyone to finish in under 5 hours. I'll definitely think twice before coming back.
Nice course
Everything is great at this course and staff friendly. Challenging but nice
The course did get in touch with me and addressed the situation promptly.
I look forward to giving this course another try. The layout and condition of course was very good.
