Kokomo American Legion Golf Course

I grew up learning the game of golf at the American Legion in Kokomo. Everything from the staff to the course is top notch. Special shout out to Bob, the Professional who has been nothing but a great Pro and stand out guy to endorse the game of golf. Every time I return to Kokomo, I make sure I get 18 on my "home" course.

Nice course and friendly staff. 19th hole was good too. Front was very slow. We caught a fivesome on the 2nd hole and they would not let us through. Two of them dropped out at the turn and I heard one tell one of his non playing friend that they had started a hour ahead of us and like I said we caught them on two.

being the first time playing the course , and no one in front of us on the back nine. we found it hard to figure out what green to hit to on three or four holes. overall we enjoyed the round. very windy!

This is not a high end course, but for the value you can have fun! You may even drive 1 of the par 4's There are no water hazards so you beginners can swing away!

Fun course that can be played in a timely manner.. Upkeep is very good, staff isn't as friendly as they could be to the younger players.

This course is beautiful nice greens not too fast not too slow pace of play was very fast and the staff was nice I had zero complaints

My wife and I booked an afternoon tee time on Golfnow. We arrived around 15 minutes before our scheduled time. When we got to #1 tee box there was a group of 7 going off ahead of us, they were waiting on the foursome that had just teed off. We went to the back nine and stated on 10. we played the back in around 2.75 hours. we had planned to play 18, but only played 9 due to the full course and slow play.

Good course for low cost golf. Pace of play was good as slower group let our twosome play thru. Interesting course with variable layout. Not too many side by side fairways. Support a good charitable organization that represents our dedicated veterans by playing a round of golf.

Course is fairly easy, mostly straight holes. Very little in terms of hazards (water, OOB). A few blind tee shots and 2nd shots. Greens were in good shape and are mostly flat and easy to read.

Course is moderate, the blues make it a little longer, greens were in excellent condition considering the lack of rain in this area.

The first seven holes parallel the fences on the right. I had been fighting the dreaded right slice all year. It was a good thing I strightened out.
Be aware that there are several holes that are difficult to determine where you are going the first time you play.Be alert for errant shots. I think the course is a little dangerous if it was busy. Tee boxes are very close to greens and to get to the next tee you actually are out in front of it so that if someone on the tee hooked or sliced you could be hit.
I did like the elevation changes, and the next time I play I may score better since I will know where I am going.
Not only was the staff friendly, but many of the patrons were also.

We play a variety of course around kokomo and this course is more challenging than most others not because of yardage but it is very hilly. Even with the rain we had before and dueing play the greens were super fast. Course was in better condition than previous times I've played and the staff there is wonderful! Will definitely return for more rounds.

I liked the front 9 very much however the back 9 not so much.....of course with all the rain in recent weeks I didn't truly get to play the full course.

I was very impressed with the greens, even after the rains they are able to keep the speed up & very challenging to read with a lot of break in all greens.

Overall, I played for the price ($10) & I wouldn't play this course at full price as other courses in the area would be better for the payout.
