About
One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

SLOW
Tee time was delayed 30 minutes due to no starter and back to back twosomes ahead of us not playing together. Pace of play was incredibly slow with 10+ minute waits at every tee box, and some stretching much longer. After 4 hours we pulled up to the 14th tee to 3 groups waiting to tee off. We had to leave at that point without finishing our round.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!
Unique
We got stalled to start…an hour delay. Then, we enjoyed a 5 and a half hour round. So, it was literally…the longest round of my life. But, despite all of that…I loved the course. It was a unique layout…in such that…you have play it more than once…to enjoy the ups and downs of the hills and valleys of southeastern Indiana. I will be back…just not a Saturday afternoon.

Well worth the drive, money and viait
This courage is definitely a gem of Southern Indiana/Ohio and a must visit, if you are within an hour or two! Great layout, very challenging and scenic, even in the pre and post seasons! However, if you like flat, plain, run of the mill golfcourses, stay away,, because this course has elevation, pitch, ponds, houses(alrhough not really in play) and trouble!

Sugar Ridge
If you play here wait until mid April or so. In March the aeration still hasn't healed from last fall. Also no matter when you play it will probably be a 5 hour round or more.

Worth the money
Sugar Ridge is a beautiful course and has a fun layout for all levels of golf. Unfortunately the course is never really maintained throughout the year so the play itself is pretty rough and aggravating. There are many courses in the area that are putting the money and time into the course but Sugar Ridge is not one of them. The good thing about Sugar Ridge is that you can usually find deals and typically the course is extremely cheap to play (for obvious reasons). And also it’s never too crowded compared to other courses in the area. $30 and under is the play here for 18/cart.

SLOW SLOW AND SLOWER. That was the pace of play. Wasn’t unexpected due to first warm day of year. But the teenagers that teamed up to try and make a 10some were. They had to be broken up numerous times. But it was what it was.

Great staff
Staff was amazing. Course was in good shape coming out of the winter season. First 70+day of the year and the course was packed. Slow play was a understatement. 3 hours to play 9 holes.

No food
This is the third time I paly at Sugar Ridge without being aboe to eat a simple hotdog before the back 9. Is pure laziness and bad customer service.

Cedar Trace
Challenging mix of holes with good water locations.
Exciting course, well maintained and does require some shot making.
I recommend this course to novice up to guys shooting under 80.
Greens in great shape
The course is well kept .fairways and greens in beautiful condition
Sugar Ridge
They were aerating the front 9 so we played the back nine twice. The price was good for this since most courses I've played that are aerating still charged regular price.
