About
One half of Sugar Ridge Golf Club is situated in extreme southwestern Ohio while the other half winds up into the Indiana hills. The border location may be unconventional but the setting provides a dramatic backdrop. The course sprawls across rolling hills that are abundant with wildlife. Wild turkey and deer have been known to roam the golf course. The layout has a few parallel fairways though the trees, and hills give each hole a completely secluded feel. The back nine feels more open than the front, but that may only be because of the ponds and lakes that come into play on many of the holes. Throughout Sugar Ridge Golf Club, golfers will find that the par 3s are fairly straightforward and the par 5s have sloping, uphill fairways that make them feel even longer. There are a few memorable par 4s, notable for both their scenery and level of difficulty.

Pleasant surprise
Course was in great shape. Fairways and greens were in great shape. I like how the holes were laid out between the par 3, 4, and 5s. Very challenging on some holes but yet some were easy to play. Holes didn’t feel crowded or on top of each other. Also helps that I played the round off my life (79) I liked the outside bar/grille when we made the turn. Even though the ground was hilly, i didn’t notice many terrible lies to hit from, i liked this course and will play again.

Rough very deep
layout of course was challenging. several holes you had to have a good tee shot to avoid trouble because an average shot wasn't good enough. must have lost about 6 balls. pared 6 holes, but still had a high score

Good day at Sugar Ridge
Course was in good shape except for the rough which was way too high but understandable with the amount of rain it got the past week. Greens were fast and true …. Stay below the hole or u gonna have multiple 3 putts. Staff was friendly and the pace was good . Have been there before when the pace was very slow but not today.

First experience
The course is beautiful, challenging and unexpected. Club down based on elevation changes. The grass is super tall. If not on fairways will take you longer than expected to find ball even if it rolls off. Other than grass height great course. Probably better to play in late summer early fall.

Terrible staff
I will never go back…fairway were very long. Everytime i play there the overbook there tee times so u have to wait to tee off on every hole so it takes u 8 hrs to finish a round…dont play there unless you plan to wait on every hole
Nice course
Beautiful course with a lot of wildlife. We seen four deer and two wild turkeys. Ambiance was great !
Great condition. Grill outside at the turn. Probably a little steep at $52. Letting multiple twosomes off back to back on a Saturday is a NoNo.

Tee boxes and tee times
Tee boxes are extremely uneven and don't provide good footing for teeing off. They don't do a good job of regulating tee times and will let walk in tee off consecutively ahead of you at your designated tee time. Course layout is good outside of that and greens are in good condition but they need to work on the tee boxes and course management to justify forty plus dollar rounds.
