Trophy club
Love playing here at least once a year. This year playing it more because of the after 5pm rate and today golf now. Always a good round here.
Great Challenge
I played this course today for the third time. This links course has so many wrinkles it never gets old. It begins with tempting angles on the fairways to tight entrances to the greens, and finishes with greens that often require two and three reads before you reach the hole. It’s a wonderful challenge if your game holds together.
Pace of play a concern
I played on a hot deal booked through Golf Now. Our foursome played 18 holes in just under 5 hours. The course was hosting a junior league tournament.
The course did not notify us or Golf Now that this was taking place. We all agreed that we would have played somewhere else had we known. It was a disappointment. We saw at least one group give up and leave after 12 holes due to the excruciatingly slow pace of play.
Great course
The course will challenge you on every hole and shot , a lot of bunkers and greens are tricky. Beautiful layout and in great condition. A challenge for any level player
Love the course
True challenge on every hole , really a great course . Lots of hills and bunkers . Great condition
Amazing course
Trophy Club is an amazing course it's so fun to play
Top shelf course!
Great pacing, friendly staff and wonderful lay-out. The rough is just that, so play the straight and narrow. Well done!!!
Just not worth it.
Price is reasonable but it’s a long drive for me. Not the friendliest staff. Better have water with you as there wasn’t any in the course. Came to the halfway house looking for drinks and snacks only to find it closed. Wasn’t advised about that before we started. Overall the course is just not fun.
Great course
Excellent course, in excellent condition. This course is up there with the best in Central Indiana. My only issue was the drive, it took almost an hour from where I live. There's also a lack of facilities at the turn...they only have a small facility after #12(?)...a minor issue. Other than that, it was great!
A Hidden Gem
This is a links course which requires skillful shot making into almost every green. Still, the fairways are kind to a reasonable straight drive. It’s a wonderful test and a joy to play with friends.
Nice courae
Cart service would be nice as the halfway house closed at 4:30. Placement of hole 10 would be nicer if it was located closer to the club house. You need to accurate as the long grass will eat your ball. I had a good time
Gem
Trophy Club is an absolute gem in the greater Indianapolis area which is full of an array of very quality courses. Having lived in the area for the past 4 years, I have played almost all of the top courses but always find myself teeing it up at The Trophy Club, to the tune of probably over 50 times.
The course features great width off the tee, which allows for players of all skill levels to get the ball in play and better players to create angles to attack. The setup creates chances to score, but also must be aware of many of the well placed hazards and obstacles lurking nearby.
Features really fun green complexes, and they do a good job putting pins in areas that force you to make decisions of whether play conservative or attack.
Pace of Play is usually great playing during the week, or early/late on weekend. Like any public course, will get busy during mid-day Sat/Sun. Often playing as a single, the friendly staff has always been accommodating to help me get out in front of groups, or pair and introduce me to other players to help with pace of play.
Overall - if you are passing through the area or haven't been up to play it yet, you should definitely make an effort to do so. You will not be disappointed.
