Great course
Great track from the tee box to the greens. Trees, tall rough and Quick greens make it a fun course. Play able by everyone.
Day at Dub's
Love Dub's... great layout and the grounds crew does a great job with the conditions... Played on Memorial Day so speed of play was to be expected. Also had two relatively new golfers in my group but the boys loved the outing. Cart Girls and Concessions crew were super friendly too... I'll definitely be back!
Solid
The course is so solid. 5/5 stars. The superintendent is one hard working man.
narrow fairways, good conditions both on fairways & greens.
Have you ever looked out your back door, saw your lawn up to 5-6”, and said, ”man, I need to cut that lawn today”
that’s the rough at Dub’s Dread. fairways are cut but very narrow- that makes the course. approaches and greens are in good shape. bunkers are really just dirt. Good value for greens fees, scenic location with notable history. staff & grill staff, all helpful, pleasant. I played from white tees, (Arnie’s), some average length par 3’s and 4’s. under repair 3rd hole, no drive second shot from 118 yards. Course designed by Jug McSpaden, 1960’s; notable rounds by Palmer, Nicklaus Snead & Nelson.
Enjoyable course
Played for the 1st time, course in good condition, (hole 3 was under partial repair) nice electric carts with GPS & speakers. Great pace of play, nice club house- food drinks at reasonable prices. We enjoyed our round and will play again.
Loved it
14 year KC resident- never had made the trek north to play Dubs. Found a great early morning tee time and grabbed it.
Blown away by quality of the course. Classic 60's design- lots of dog legs, most holes "framed" well.
Good conditions- especially given all the spring rain. 2 especially tough par 4's each side. Think 18 is a great hole. Greens in good shape, fast and firm. Strength of the course may be the 4 par 3 holes- all great. Plus most greens fairly large.
Many greens have slight to moderate elevation coming into the green- so plan accordingly.
Staff super friendly. Beer cart out even early in the AM if you need that.
I played with another single at 0800, two groups kind enough to let us play through ( didn't have to) so thanks. That put us at 345 elapsed. I think later in the day you may be looking at more like 415 or so...
As noted on many reviews- perhaps the most budget friendly snack bar around! Wow.
Highly recommend- and visitors in the Speedway area should jump on this track.

Course condition is in bad shape. Tee boxes, greens and fairways in poor condition.
Great course and great amenities!
Great challenging course! The golf carts are very nice and lots of great features, speakers, mapping, ice chest, and much more. Very busy on the weekends and the golf carts tell you to speed up your play and if you are on time. Felt rushed playing as the course was very busy. A couple improvements in the future years: nets around the driving range and the order function for the restaurant on the screen in the golf cart did not work. Overall amazing course and will be back very soon!
Great KC course
Played it in early March so obviously not in tip top shape. But a very fun track none the less. One of my favorites in the KC area. As long as they continue to use golf now, will continue to return time and time again.
