Prairie Trails Golf Course

Obviously this course is in rebuild mode, but still a fun play.

Greens were great, minus a few on the back that had “work in progress” spots.

Tee boxes and fairways still have a ways to go from early season re-sodding and repairs.

Will definitely return, and am looking forward to seeing how great it will look next spring.

This course has some challenges (negative) that are due to maintenance issues and some others (positive) that are based on the layout. The only real frustration was the need for mowing the tees and fairways. Secondarily the rough is patchy so the ball can sit down in a gap between clumps of grass in the rough. There are multiple holes that require more than 170 yards to carry the thick rough or other hazards. The greens didn't look very good but they rolled nicely, even in locations that had been patched. Overall it did seem like the course had been a bit overwatered but that might have been due to recent rains (maybe this is why the fairways were not mowed). I'd play there again but would be sure to use a discount code to get the best price.

Course plays shorter than it is which is a lot of fun. Has some fall maintenance so beware some fare ways are rough. But staff made up for and course issues with their kindnesses.

Difficult to distinguish between tee boxes, fairways and rough because grass was long

and needed mowing. Drives would hit fairways (we thought) and we would still have to hunt for the ball due to the long grass. Spots on many greens were dead or just sand. Will not be back (at least for this price). Lots of potential and lots of room for improvement.

I am from Florida and here on business. I cannot believe they call this a golf course. This course is a joke. The fairway grass was higher than the rough. Had hard time finding tee boxes... and the greens...if it wasn't dirt patches everywhere, the greens grass was about an inch high. One hole, I kid you not, the hole had a coffee can as a hole, filled with water. I don't even know how the pole stood up. I'd lose balls hitting on the fairway. I wouldn't even play here for free. A complete waste of my time. Kept on hoping the next "area" would get better. It didn't. This course needs to be sold and have houses built on it. What a disgrace!

The condition this course is in was unbelievable. It was difficult to tell fairway vs ruff. Many times the condition of the ruff was far better than fairway! All of the greens had large sandy damaged areas. The owner should be ashamed to charge anything over 20. With cart. Speaking of carts. Our cart had no break hold. Any time we were on a slight hill the cart would roll. One good thing to say was that the tee boxes were at least level for the most part.

Course repairs coming along nicely! In so much better shape than it was over the summer. You can tell they have really been working hard to bring this course back. The layout is outstanding and I can't wait to keep playing there and noting progress. Highly recommend. Course makes for really good golf already and more patronage is only going to help support to make this a great one!!

It is the time of year that is causing some problems with the fairways that can be repaired around spring time..

The greens are in good shape.

The personnel are the best you could find at any course.

The greens are in great shape and I would guess about a 10 as for as a Stimpmeter rating.

I have played the course several times and I enjoy playing there.

One thing a golfer can not stand is poor greens.

The greens are in perfect condition and I like

playing on them. The fairways need some work on them but you can still like playing on the course. The personnel are great. You could not find better.
